History

Established in 1980.

The business was know as Portraits Plus located in Belle Vernon. I purchased it in 1998. It is now The Arte of Framing by Portraits Plus. I have relocated to Monessen in the Park Center Plaza near City Park.

I started to frame at the age of 15. My first job was at The Framing Hut in Altoona Pa. After obtaining a degree in Advertising Art at AIP I was employed as a graphic designer. I also worked at Joseph Hornes on Penn Ave., Pgh. as a Custom Framer and a Jacobsen’s Gallery on Penn Ave., Pgh. Pa. Selling my paintings and Custom Framing. I was also employed at Deck the Walls in Pgh. I have owned and operated my shop since 1998.
