First time ever goin here,
Gota say cool laid back environment An a great place to get your hair done up cmon.
I had Jessica an i got a haircut an beard trim/​shave.
She spent quite some time with me to make sure everything was all gravy.
The shaving was great, i usually dont get shaved but more than likely will once a month now.
After the hot towel comes off your in a daze ready to pass out an here comes Jess comin to slit your throat!!! Jus kidding haha
She did am amazing job an i have family pictures today so im super happy i chose this place an got her to trim me all up. I will definitely be a returimg customer an most definitely have her shave me up an do my hair because she did an awesome job.
Not trying to rush you outa your seat an onto the next mop head to cut.

My husband came here a few months back, and has now gone 2 times since. He will not go to another barber, Ryan is awesome. He also cut our sons hair, and did an excellent job! Great place, great atmosphere!

I have had the same barber (Jessica) for two years and she is awesome !!! She takes the time to sculpt your hair perfectly and make sure its exactly as you want. Also she is extremely friendly and always super fun to talk to. I will be a lifetime customer for sure. Tony the owner is also a super cool guy and nows how to run a bad-​ass barber shop. Best place in town!

My new go-​to barber shop. Jessica always does a fantastic job, and both her and Tony clearly take pride in what they do. The shop has a great vibe, and the appointment system is great for those who prefer not to wait hours to get their haircut.
ALSO Getting my haircut here in the mornings gives me an excuse to grab a mocha over at Preservation Coffee, just a half a block away. If I get a haircut in the afternoon, I’ll also probably grab a sandwich at Picasso’s, just a couple doors down. Trevino’s is a great shop, and it gets bonus points for its proximity to all the other great small businesses in downtown Modesto.

Trevino’s gives awesome service. The atmosphere is great. Tony does me right every time I go in. Straight razor shaves, and razor fades are on point. Best spot in town if your looking for that classic barbershop look!

UPDATE: I want to thank the owner Tony for calling me personally hours after the incident to apologize for the situation that happened Monday afternoon. I apologize that I got frustrated and walked out but you have to understand that I am also a business owner and don’t have time to be waiting around. Shit happens but I felt it could’ve been handled slightly differently like making me aware the minute I walked in the door about being double booked instead of after finishing your haircut. I am a machinist and work 12 to 14 hours a day and totally understand what it means to own and be dedicated to a business. You seem like a standup gentleman so I am glad you reached out to me and invited me back.
SECOND UPDATE: funny how people only respond back to you immediately when there something on the line. I’ve been in this place a couple times now and the experience is great. Unfortunately, I thought I was getting a true artist. Every visit I’ve had to adjust my neck line before I leave the shop. It’s never perfect. life’s not perfect and that is not my complaint. I felt that overtime we would definitely get the beard trimming right but I’m finding that they are now booked weeks in advance. Being that I also own a business here in Modesto I know what it means to go the extra mile for somebody. I contacted the owner directly and figured he would definitely squeeze me in somewhere. He didn’t respond back to me for almost 3 days, said he’s been busy, to book an appointment online, and if I had to go elsewhere he’d understand. That I will do!

Took my son to get a bad haircut fixed and Tony did an amazing job! I told him what I wanted and he did exactly that. I would definitely recommend Trevinos Barber Shop for adults or kids.

I’ve been living in a world of Cosmetology. Nothing against the wonderful ladies that have tried to make my hair right and tight but I was looking for something more.
The chain salons weren’t doing it for me and I had already been thinking about actually going to a barber who understands my hair in a way that I barely do, a magician if you will.
I think the universe was trying to tell me something when one of my local Unilocaler buddies, Umar G mentioned Trevino’s in one of his reviews. Of course that sparked my want even more for that one local business that would make me look like the handsome devilish man that I am (kidding about that last part… haha). I immediately booked an appointment and was lucky to get an early morning appointment on a Sat!
I arrived at the place and it was colder than a witches well you get the idea! Of course after a very menial wait while Tony, the owner, set up it became much warmer. Tony called me over and I sat in one of the coolest vintage barber chairs I’d ever seen plus it was super comfortable! Immediately Tony put on a smile and the tent (as I like to call it) on me so I didn’t become a hairy beast. I felt like I was in great hands even before he brought out the big guns (the tools that would change my life forever!)
Tony is a very good conversationalist without seeming too intrusive. It’s funny because as soon as he found out that I’m Portuguese he got a big smile on his face and said I am ALWAYS welcome in his shop! Well his family is from Spain so in a sense we’re neighbors hehe. He was very in-​tune with what I wanted done with my hair and even cut my hair so it grows right. Attention to detail like that is EXACTLY what I was looking for and that’s why I plan on coming back for a very long time!!!

Guys, get your money’s worth! I’ve been getting 10 minute haircuts that look good but just like the next guys for the last 20 years, I’m good friends with my hairstylist but guys hair doesn’t get the say attention as a womans and no matter how i wanted to change it up she always cut it thr same way, i wanted a different hair style and Tony was able to give it to me, for the same price as a 10 minute hair cut he took about 35 minutes and it came out just how I wanted, I like that he shaved my lines with a shaver not just a clipper that grows out I’m a couple days, try it out!

Great place and they got me in even when it was busy. Waited about 45 min but it was worth it! Make sure you don’t come late to an appointment! Some guy found out the hard way but I was able to be seen.

Super professional, clean and experienced. You need an appointment though because they are so popular.

Trevino’s Barber Shop is hands down my favorite place to get a haircut, and has been for several years.
The shop owner, Tony, gives the freshest cut this side of the Rockies, surpassing even the most renowned shops in San Francisco and LA. I first went to him on a friend’s recommendation to get my hair cut for Halloween, and ever since that day, every other shop I’ve visited has felt sub-​par in comparison to Trevino’s. The man can handle a straight-​razor blade just as well as he can hold a conversation, and he’s a great conversationalist. You’ll leave his chair feeling great about your hair and yourself.
The rest of the team that Tony has put together over the past few months and years have impressed me as well. I’ve had my hair cut by Jessica a couple times when Tony has been booked up, and she did not disappoint. Each member of the Trevino’s team has a firm and solid grasp of the hairstyles that have defined men and women for generations, as well as the products needed to look killer every day. It’s great to step into a classic barber shop and be greeted by people who know what they’re doing and are happy to see you every time.
With the launch of this new shop, I’m excited to see where Tony and his crew take the lifestyles and hairstyles of Downtown Modesto, and the rest of California. Whether it’s a high-​and-​tight pompadour, a clean shave, or a strong conversation about life, Trevino’s keeps it fresh.

Tony is the man. I found Trevino’s a few years back when I moved back from San Diego. I had the same barber in San Diego for 5 years and I am very particular about my haircut so needless to say when I moved back finding a new barber was key. I went to several places before I found Trevino’s and I was not happy what so ever.
I found Trevino’s on accident cruising the Internet and thought hey it can’t be any worse than what I had gone through already. The second I walked in the door I knew it was the right place for me. Tony welcomed me like I was one of his oldest friends and he knew exactly what I was talking about when it came to my haircut. I didn’t have to say much about what I wanted and bam he knew what I meant which is very important to me and to this day after over 2 years he still remembers.
Trevino’s has become more than a barber shop over the years. It’s a place where you can go and feel like family, where you converse with people like you have known them for years, it has the best staff and the best atmosphere. Hands down the best barber shop in the 209.

I’ve been going to Tony since his first days as a solo barber and to watch him build a fantastic team of fellow barbers and a new shop has been an amazing sight to see. The extremely laid back culture and friendly vibe is top notch that cannot be duplicated in any other way. From the awesome music that’s always playing to the heartfelt conversations, you honestly feel at ease and part of Tony’s family. I’ve been coming here every other week and there has not been a single time I’ve been disappointed.
Tony’s craftsmanship and attention to detail is superb, and proof of it is when someone compliments me with a simple «nice cut.» I can’t help smiling when I do get those compliments knowing I have the best barber in the business. Tony also does an amazing job of remembering your previous cuts and his skill for finding you the right cut when your unsure of what you want is incredible. I was stuck to one hairstyle for years, but with his help I transitioned into something more gentlemen-​esque that has helped boost my confidence in many ways. I’ve also had a haircut with Jessica, and she’s just as great as Tony.
All in all, if you’re looking for a great quality barber then look no further than Trevino’s Barber Shop. I promise you won’t regret it! Also on a side note, for those of us that are impatient and dislike waiting in line. There is a really convenient way of booking appointments online to save a great deal of time.
