This salon is only a couple of years old, really a nice space. I go to Coren, she used to work at Basix before they closed.
This salon has a manicure, pedicure area. The hairdressers have 12+ stations. There is also electrolysis and a spa right next door. Sanctuary also has a new custom spray tan that everyone is raving about.-I haven’t tried it yet.
I and most of my coworkers (yay DMC!) go to Sanctuary for our hair.
I love the flexible hours my Coren keeps and she’s always ready to try something new on my hair. She will also do your brows, makeup or special event hair.-Rocking updo’s! Coren has done my hair for my wedding, the Orange and Black Ball (Pacific), and other events I’ve gone to.
Just be sure to plan ahead and make your appointment, these girls are busy!

This review is only for Teri Jameson when she used to work at Basix. I used to get my hair done by her when I lived in Modesto. She ALWAYS did an awesome job. I live in San Francisco now, and for a while I would drive all the way home just to see her.
Her prices were always very reasonable for a cut and highlights and she always put in her input if I ever had any ideas, and she would be honest, which is important. She even did my hair for prom and did exaclty what I wanted and it looked really good. I work at a salon now and get my hair done for free so I really don’t have any reason to go home just to get it done but if I ever lived in Modesto again, I would definitely go back to Teri.
I deducted a star because she seems to cancel a lot… I don’t know maybe it was because I was young she would cancel on me a lot or maybe she had a lot going on at the time but it would be an inconvenience at times, but the work she did on my hair always overpowered her cancelling on me, so I always seemed to return. ALSO, it’s EXTREMELY difficult getting an appointment, if I didn’t book in advance and had to call to make an appointment, it would be at least a month or 2 before she could see me. Insane! But she truly does wonderful hair. Miss you, Teri!
