Artistically driven, Bischoff Custom Design strives to be the place for designers to see their dreams printed.
In 1962 Bill Bischoff began a 22 year career in business marketing working with his family at his parents three liquor store in Fremont, House of Liquors. Briefly attending California of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, then moving into management in the 70s, Bill understand retail marketing. His introduction to screenprinting outside of high school was a summer spent screening signs for Process Displays whose customers included Schilling, Weibel Winery, and many others.
Then in 1985 Bill began working for Sun Graphics for 2 years. Gaining the necessary confidence and guidance from Dave Farrah, his mentor & boss, Bill decided to reach out to his own client base.
Over the last 26 years business has evolved from a single person operation, to having 20 employees in 1995, then finding the right balance today of family and business allowing time for Grandkids.

Bill B.
Business Owner
Attending California College of Arts & Crafts in 1970 briefly & continuing design education at Ohlone JC, working in retail afforded many marketing opportunities. Creating original posters for concert promotion, serving as assistant screenprinter for Sun Graphics in 1984 – 85, then starting his own business in 1988, hands on best describes Bill’s experiences. Newpark Mall, Newark’s Music at the Grove, The Fremont Hub, and Nordstrom were the client base Bischoff Design started out servicing.
The expansion into Tee shirts, sweatshirts, jackets for Levitz Furniture, little league uniforms, class sweatshirts for Newark Memorial High, football spirit wear for Coaches Rich Swift & Jim Ingram became a natural extension of the graphics foundation this business was rooted in.
Creating custom designs for tees & sweats & spiritwear is a natural progression of the design foundation begun at the start of this business. Bill is proud to turn over management of the business spring of 2014
