Although I liked the laser treatments I received here, I do not think I will be coming back after my recent experience.
My sister and I made our laser appointment a month ahead, and this would have been our third time purchasing the laser maintenance package.
When we walked in we were greeted by the receptionists as usual and told that we can wait upstairs for our appointment. We finished with our appointments and went back downstairs to pay… only to be told that they have increased their prices. The package that we had purchased twice before for $ 170 was now $ 225. Neither of the receptionists told us BEFORE our appointment of the price increase that they established only a few days earlier… this is a very shady business tactic and we were pretty taken aback.
They have my email address and phone number, so they could have easily made us aware of the price increase before our appointment. If they had let us known beforehand, we would have still been customers at Advanced Laser Clinic.

I LOVE ALC! been going there for years for several procedures. They are all wonderful. I love GWEN! She is the manager and is extremely knowledgable and always helpful. I would recommend over and over.

I was NOT happy with my service what so ever. I had purchased a microdermabrasion treatment and I clearly requested with the esthetician that I wanted the FULL facial treatment as well. I would pay extra, no problem. First off the esthetician was not very friendly at all. Treated me as if I was causing her more work to her schedule. My experience was terrible. I had no exfoliating scrub, no steam and no extractions! This had to be one of the worst facial I have ever had. I felt like nothing was done to my skin. I could have done a better job on my own at home. I will definitely not be returning. Customer service is a joke here. I will be taking my business some where else.

They offer every treatment I could look for including hair removal and rejuvenation. Staff is so nice and friendly and they make it a pleasant experience when you are there.
They have the best technology and stay current on the top procedures. They will make you look incredible!
Don’t have enough good things to say about them, try them out-​you will love them!

This place is amazing. I have had the best office type experience here. AND it’s a constant thing. The front desk receptionists are awesome! They have amazing prices. I have only done the laser hair removal but they offer many different things. I would suggest this place to anyone & everyone.

They are the best.
They have always listened AND asked questions. I know they are listening.
They are accommodating if a slot is open… and nobody has ever «TRIED SELLING ME ANYTHING».
They have very nice open houses if you want to just drop I and see a couple of demos and get to know staff. GWENN & JODI, they are all very professional

Chose this place from all the great reviews! I have light skin and dark thick hair and excema/​sensitive skin. I went in and got price quotes from Gwen (super nice and knowledgeable). And got booked right away for a trial run (as in pay for one session with the duet laser) to see if I could stand the pain. The duet laser doesn’t hurt, it feels like a warm massage on fleshy parts and on bone (legs) it does sting a bit with a burn, but it goes by so quick. Did my legs in a few minutes with Kate who is an RN. Really liked her too! P. s. they didn’t tell me that you can’t get it done when on antibiotics until after it was done and it wasn’t on their do/don’t list. Also no tanning or bronzer during the lengthy process so start it in the winter! You gotta wait 12 weeks between sessions & 6 weeks no plucking/​waxing/​bleaching. They have to do small areas like Brazilian with the cool tip laser which does hurt. I got that done with some other lady besides Kate and I swear I didn’t feel her do the lips right and she wasn’t as thorough as a normal Brazilian on the rear. I even asked her if she did it and she said yes. I am planning on complaining during next visit. Remember you gotta shave before. I am getting my entire body and face done and it came out to about $ 4000. I paid it all at once on my credit card. They also recommend you get sunblock with zinc! They are open only 2 Saturdays out of the month. My only complaint was the Brazilian and lack of info on the antibiotics thing but other than that so far so good

Even though I’ve moved, I still return to Modesto for treatments because this place has been so great. I have to say, though, that the Botox isn’t as effective since my favorite nurse left. Maybe it’s just me.

Had Voluma injections done last week and am very happy with the results. Sandy is a great nurse — real friendly and reassuring, as well as professional.

I had an OK treatment, but after reading these reviews I kind of was hoping for Shangri-​La. I do not like being had… at lease 4 out of the 9 reviews on here, I suspect are from employees. Beware of business that have CHEAT to get great reviews. Here’s a sure sign… no photo, and only 1 review ever written. 9 times out of 10 it’s an employee! This has to stop and needs to be called out.

Heard about ALC on the radio, I live in Oakley so its a long drive, but decided to try them. So glad I did. Its so worth the drive. The staff is so awesome. I’m getting laser hair removal, and looking forward to not having to shave. I also got my lips filled and they look awesome. I’ve had fillers done before closer to home, now ALC is my new place. Will be letting my friends know its the place to go.

If I could give Gwen less than 1 star I would. I had horrible results with the botox. Even though I did really like Joy. Poor thing is so over worked! Do not waste your time here or your money! I had great botox results before this place and after this place. So I know it isn’t just me.

I bought the laser hair removal for my underarms and love it. After the 5 treatments there were some hairs left. I recently went in for my 6^th treatment and now I have maybe one more treatment left but hardly have to shave. The results have been amazing and customer service has been fantastic.

This place is great… I have been coming here for years, and the staff are extremely friendly and funny… Jean is the person who ZAP’s away the unwanted hair and she is the best. She makes you feel super comfortable and at ease. So if your considering laser hair removal, this is the place to go…

I have been going here for my eyebrows and skin treatments with Niki for a couple years. I absolutely adore the staff. They are warm, welcoming, funny as hell, and really nice people. I cannot say enough about Niki. I would not even consider going anywhere else and look forward to my appointments with her and seeing the other gals. They also have awesome open house events. They offer food, wine, demo’s and best of all, lots of raffle prizes for free services. If you have not checked them out, you should!

I wanted to wait until all my sessions have been completed before writing about my experience.

I have medium toned skin with dark hair. I came here about a year ago and did the laser hair removal for my underarms. This included five treatments. I read about how the treatments were before purchasing, and took the chance. It has been over eight weeks since my very last treatment and here are the results:
I ended up with four visible burned marks. No more than 20% of the hair on my underarm has actually been removed.
The customer service here is what I like to call «bubbly» since a few of them are very outgoing, almost like a car salesperson. Due to all the burned marks I had received I would have given one star, but the people there were nice.
A friend of mine was getting the same treatment around the same time, but she did her treatments somewhere further north. I don’t exactly know where, but her results were much better than mine.
Hope this helps anyone considering laser hair removal. Just remember, everyone is different. I came into this knowingly, but I am unsatisfied because not only did I come out of it with dark spots around my underarm, but there is still plenty of hair left.

I love this place I went in and got what I wanted done. Even though it was the second time around it was worth it. I like all the girls! They r awesome it’s not there fault if some thing does not work out for you. Love you guys and I am gona keep going to get more done!

Please don’t waste your money going to this place! They completely deceive their clients. They promise you great results just to make you sign the contract. I had been told that i needed 5 sessions of laser treatment .when i didn’t see any results after 4 session of laser hair removal they told me that it’s because everyone is different And it depends on your hormones. She then told me it might take up to 10sessions maybe more. Which of course they would have to charge for. Then said laser hair removal is not guaranteed. wish I would have been told that before I gave them $ 800! When I complained about the horrible service GWEN told she she didn’t want to talk to me no more. She was completely rude n unprofessional even went as far as telling me «WHATEVER I DONT WANA TALK TO YOU ANYMORE» and mocking me over the phone. Please don’t waste ur time or money on this business that just scams its clients.

I just had my last appointment with Joy, she’s freakin awesome, my favorite nurse there to zap me so far, (Amanda’s my second favorite). Joy was very knowledgeable and if you have brown skin like I do, I would recommend seeing her, since she has brown skin as well. She understands my issues and made sure I didn’t get burned!
Joy is very meticulous and prides herself on getting every last hair, also she’s very talkactive and friendly and makes the appointment go by very quickly.
Also props to them for accomodating me for being 20 minutes late (although I did call them about an hour ahead of time to let them know I was stuck in Saturday traffic on 580). I was so worried I was going to lose my appointment!
