Supporting Families with Christ-centered Education
History
Established in 1982.
In the Fall of 1982… in an effort to disciple their own children, two separate groups of Covenant Church parents set up two cooperative classes in their homes. One group was made up of four-year-olds and the other was five-year-olds. The success of these two efforts led to the establishment of Covenant School in the fall of 1983. Fifty-one students, comprised two kindergarten classes and one first grade class.
In 1984, Keith Currie became the principal and added second grade, expanding the school eventually to eighth grade, where it is today. The first graduating eighth grade class was in 1988.
Through the years, the school has opened its doors to the surrounding community and has maintained its goal to disciple students through Christian education. Covenant Christian School has continued to add buildings and programs that further the goal of preparing students to understand their world, to communicate with their world, and to influence their world for Jesus Christ.

A Note from the Principal:
I am glad that you have taken a moment of your time to find out more about Covenant Christian School. I think you will find CCS to be a delightful place! The staff, the families, the students – the people – that make up CCS seem to have a oneness that is unusual. The common vision among all is to provide an education that honors the Lord and that prepares our students to affect the world in which they live.
A paraphrase of one of Solomon’s proverbs says, «A wise teacher makes learning a joy.» We believe that when real learning takes place, students enjoy the process. Come visit our campus and I believe you will catch the spirit of joy that flows through our teachers and staff members and into each classroom.
Thank you for letting me introduce you to our school. I would love to meet you in person and give you a personalized tour.
With all joy,
Keith Currie
