Highly recommend this location. I had visited other car stereo installation places, one of which was Audio Labs off of Lake Forrest. When I went into these other stores the staff seemed less than interested in talking to me or looking at my vehicle to give me some ideas for a stereo. When I came to Viejo Auto Stereo, Mark was very helpful and informative and made me feel like he actually wanted my business unlike the other shops. Too bad for them because I got my stereo installed here and gave them $ 1,600 in sales that someone else could have got. Goes to show you that customer service goes a long way. The installation looks and sounds amazing and I will definitely bring any other business I have to Mark at Viejo Auto Stereo.

This place is first class… They put in a hands-​free Bluetooth in my 2007 Lexus RX 350. It works beautifully and I can control everything from my steering wheel. I found a coupon on Unilocal and they honored it without question. They are really a very wonderful company. I would absolutely go back and recommend anyone I know, to go there.

I needed to have an alarm installed on my work truck which required some custom wiring done on the contractor shell I had recently installed on the bed. I got quotes from a few other people in the area and Santiago gave me the best price. Not only was I happy with the price, but when the truck was finished I was impressed at how well Santiago installed the custom pin switches in all the utility doors of the shell. The wiring was very clean and the alarm and remote start work flawlessly.
Mark and Santiago are true professionals and just because their prices are good, doesn’t mean they cut corners or perform substandard work. When I am ready to upgrade my stereo and tint my windows this is where I will be going. I have dealt with other shops in the area for other vehicles I own, and I can tell you from experience that these guys are the best.

100% pleased. I have a 2014 Porche Boxter with a stock audio system. I went in to the store just to see if they could improve the sound. WOW did the end result blow my mind. I had two grills behind each seat however no speakers. I like a full sound surrounding me. Well, just by adding two great speakers in those spots, adding amplification and processing the sound is amazing. If you have a Porche Boxter let these folks do their magic. Professional, and the install was quality with no evidence of work done other then just a fantastic sound. Same head unit, same look, new sound… thanks…

Really helpful guys in this establishment. Came in with some of my own old hardware to install, I didn’t have what I wanted/​needed so they hooked me up and I came away with a super sweet deal. Install and amplifier. Santiago was awesome with customer service and pricing, Mark answered all my additional questions while I waited for my install to be done and Tony did a great job on the install. I had been to a different audio shop 3 times n all three times thy gave me babe service (audio lab) *cough cough! N today I went in and out of Viejo in less than 20 mins n got excellent service and advice. Definitely coming here before anywhere else. Good job guys!

I would have given 3, maybe 4 stars for the original install of my new stereo and speakers as it was a good price on a good stereo and average level of service. But now I’m giving 5 stars because of Tom who works in the back.
I had to return 2 weeks after the original install because an interior panel around the windshield (where they ran the wires for my bluetooth microphone) was falling off. I tried sticking it back up with double sided tape but that didn’t work. Being a later model, 03 vehicle, I was worried they might say it was like that before the install but instead when I brought it in Tom treated me like gold. He looked behind the panel and said it looks like it was missing a clip. He apologized for my inconvenience and took it around to the back. A few minutes later it was fixed like it was factory done. I’m more than happy. Now my stereo sounds excellent and looks professionally done.
I’ll be sending family members here in the future.

I bought an old Mercedes (2003) to use as my daily driver. The car had a CD changer unit, FM/​AM radio and a cassette deck from the factory. So I decided to take it in to Santiago for a recommended unit. He suggested a Pioneer fullscreen unit that would be linked into the original MB steering wheel phone communications. I did some research and to update just the phone through Mercedes Benz is over $ 1,000.
So I took it into Santiago, and for a few hundred dollars more, I now have full bluetooth integration, A reversing camera that wasn’t even available on the car, HD Radio, iPhone integration with google maps (so I now have full nav that’s better than the MB unit), Sirius Radio, SDHC slot for over 300 albums. And best of all, the face plate comes off of the head unit so I can take it off to deter thieves from breaking into the car.
The whole process was painless and the team at Viejo Auto Stereo did exactly as they promised. I’m so impressed I’m going to get them to replace the head unit in two other cars in the family.
Don’t mess around, go here… nice guys that don’t talk down to you.

My purpose in going there is to have the shop install my car stereo. While Santiago looked at the stereo I’ve also asked him to check the auto door lock. Santiago was able to fix the 2 issue in a short period of time and charge a decent price. He also patiently guided my husband connects his Pandora with no additional fee. Santiago is knowledgable and truly amazing. I will do business with him again and definitely refer his service to friends and relatives. Keep up the great work …

I would like to give them more stars based on good past work and how nice and professional they seem, but this last time they did some questionable work on my Prius. Now the a/​c doesn’t work (non communication with the computer so it’s stuck on the setting it was on when dropped it off), they switched left and right channel (when I balance to the left, the right speakers get loud and visa versa), and there is no sound coming from the rear speakers.
Other than that, it sounds really good.
I’m going to take it back and will adjust the rating if they competently address these issues.
I hope they do because it’s getting cold in there with the A/​C on all the time.

This is my 3^rd follow up review. Its been a few months since my system was installed here at Viejo by Santiago. Everything is amazing and kicks serious are. First time in all my years I have not had a problem with my system. Thousands into it and Santiago is truly an amazing professional with whom I will do business with again 100% GUARANTEED. I took a risk by getting my stereo done here (because I have my guy but I moved far far away. I did weeks and weeks of research and found Viejo Auto Sound. Thank u again Santiago. I’ve been working on a car audio DIY project for a short time and hit a few snags with the dash-​kit and Sony stereo I bought. I thought I was going to have to send back the dash-​kit and figure out the antenna connector online. Instead, I stopped by Viejo Auto Stereo in Mission Viejo, CA, hoping someone there would give me some free advice — and also thinking that I might just have them finish the install, if they could do it while I was in town. They were near closing time and they were trying to finish up a job for a customer who would be back before they closed, so they couldn’t do the job right then, but he was nice about it.
When I continued to ask questions about my DIY project, the owner, Santiago Villalva, took the time to show me what I had done wrong with the dash-​kit and explained a couple of other things. He was very patient, even though he was the only one there and was trying to finish that job the other customer. Even when I continued to ask questions, he was quick to help and didn’t show any frustration with my free-​loading.
His help was appreciated and I ended up buy $ 25 worth of stuff from him for the 10 minutes he spent with me. Truly good customer service. Thanks again Santiago!

Santiago hooked it up. He installed an Alpine overhead DVD player, sub and amplifier and a bluetooth in my Honda Pilot. Everything looks great, sounds great and was done professionally. Definitely recommend this shop.

He sounded good in beginning, then he showed me converter for $ 30 and wires for $ 70, on Amazon converter is $ 11 and wires are $ 45, when I said I’ll order from amazon and will be back, he changed and got mad, increased his hourly rate and was rude, so be prepared to be his way when you go there, your opinion? Doesn’t matter

I would definitely recommend Viejo auto stereo to everyone! Minh did a really great job installing my new stereo and i couldn’t be more happy. The work is really precise and it was all done in a timely fashion. Overall awesome experience and my new stereo sounds amazing.

Nimh is very knowledgeable and doesn’t sell you more than you need. His staff and store are 5 star quality. The workmanship they do is precise. I highly recommend them to everyone.
