Specialties
We teach the vocal technique that was popular before the widespread use of microphones, when a singer had to be able to project his or her voice naturally. The student learns to use the diaphragm properly in order to support the voice, eliminating any strain on the vocal cords. The result is a strong resonant voice produced with minimum effort.
History
Established in 2005.
After studying and performing for more than 20 years, Mr. Fischman began giving voice lessons to fellow church members in return for a donation to the church. His students were so satisfied with his teaching method and with the results, that they advised him to teach professionally.
He teaches anyone who is serious about wanting to learn to sing, and accepts students beginning at age 15 and up.

Business Owner
Stephen Fischman began his vocal studies in 1980 at the age of 32. For the ten years that he studied with his voice teacher he used a breathing technique that failed to utilize the diaphragm correctly, and as a result, was never able to sing comfortably above high G.
In 1990, after accidentally discovering that he was breathing incorrectly, and thus improperly supporting his voice, Mr. Fischman began teaching himself. Since then, he has developed his voice into a strong spinto tenor, extending his range to D flat above High C. At 65 years of age, Mr. Fischman can still produce a strong, resonant High C.
From the late 1980s through 2000 Mr. Fischman performed in numerous operas, concerts, and recitals throughout the Southern California area. He now devotes his time to teaching the original Bel Canto technique that was predominant during the «Golden Age of Opera.»
