Next Generation Recycling

I started coming here because of the coupons that were in the Pennysaver, well the Pennysaver went out of business a few months ago. I hung on to the last Pennysaver because there was a coupon. So, the other day I took my bag of smashed aluminum cans there and was told that they woild not honor the coupon because they had paid the Pennysaver for advertising and got screwed when the Pennysaver suddenly closed shop. So therefore, instead of getting the 2.08 per lb on the coupon, I was now going to get 1.56 per lb, but he would give me 1.65 to help me out as Jimmy said. The problem for me is the principle of the situation, the coupon has NO expiration date, so therfore they should honor it. On top of this, I first went there on a Tuesday at about 12:30pm, Jimmy approached my vehicle and told me that he had already ran out of cash, he told me that he ws going to get more and that he would return by 2pm. I returned at 2pm to find a sign in the window that read «no cash till tommorrow». Came back on Thursday and was told he would not honor the coupon. I usually give someone the benefit of the doubt, but Next Generation Recycling is a shady business. Not having enough cash on hand, refusing to honor a coupon that you put out there for the public and if you read their website the writin prices on the page do NOT match the prices on the coupons that they let you print out, should be enough reason to not go to these crooks. I think weights and measures needs to make a visit to these guys, Im pretty sure that their scales are not calibrated aswell. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR RECYCLING NEEDS.

Took my toddler here with our large collection of recyclables to teach him about recycling. We have a recycling place very close to our home but read the review below for this place and made the drive during traffic hours to ensure my kid’s first exposure was pleasant. I was not disappointed. Jimmy was the person who helped us with the whole process, explaining the sorting process to him and was so patient! He even gave my child a dollar at the end so that he can feel he earned the dollar for all of the help. What an incredibly pleasant first experience for my child. THANK YOU Jimmy! My child asked if he can come every day and as we drove away, talked about how «friendly» Mr. Jimmy was!
As far as the price per pound, I can’t say much since this is my first time. But I want to trust Jimmy when he said they’re very competitive. We didn’t get as much as I had hoped but only because the state of CA recently made a huge drop in the reimb per weight this past July. It was just bad timing. But we did use the coupon online to get the max we could.
We are definitely coming back here to recycle!

I have a recycler a mile away I drive 4.8 miles to go there the gentleman that works there is very nice

Not really sure about this place I feel I should have gotten more $ for what I gave them! I’ve been to other places and gotten more for about the same amount of recycles! They also have coupons to give you more money I found one on their website. The clerk was a little late and he took things out that I payed CRV for! Not cool!

This is one those few centers left these days that still give cash for your recycling instead of a receipt. I don’t need to stand in another line to get the money I should have gotten from the recycling in the first place. It’s also next to a fantastic middle eastern market so we always stock up on our favorites when we drop off our recycling. My kids are 7 & 4 and we are teaching them the benefits of recycling and getting cash handed to you makes a great impression as a reward for doing something nice for our planet. They also have a coupon so that you can get a little bit more from your cans.
