I have been with Michael Cohen State Farm for 12 yrs. now. Paula is so awesome! Very Professional and attentive. I give this place 5 stars for their excellent service. They make you feel like a true VIP!

My car insurance was cancelled without notifying me. No proof of cancellation was provided upon request. Payment was automatically deducted from my bank by authorization. Because of the bank’s issuance of a new card, a payment was not issued. However, this agency did not contact me until nearly a month later. I supplied the updated information immediately but still not notified that my insurance was cancelled; simply that a payment had been declined because of the new card. Unbeknownst to me, I was driving without insurance for weeks What triggered my knowledge of cancellation was a letter advising that August’s payment was be significantly higher; yet without explanation. The reason, as I found out later, was tagged on charge re reinstatement of the cancelled policy. The agents had been on vacation when I attempted to find out what happened. The attitude is «oh well»; Cohen’s agency flatly denies any obligation. An insurance company is required to provide notice of cancellation to its policyholders. Cohen’s office passes the buck to its regional office. I asked for proof I had been notified weeks ago. To date, Cohen has produced no documentation. Maybe this agent has been reliable to others. Not to me. The consequence to me could have been catastropic. Nevertheless, Cohen is indifferent.
