Konnect Pilates

I know what a neutral pelvis is! Now I can Pilates nerd out so hard. Speaking as an employee, client and teacher trainer student, Konnect Pilates is a one-​of-​kind studio. The owners and trainers truly care about you as a person and want to make sure you get the best experience and exercise possible. I love how the trainers are super knowledgeable about movement and correct alignment to make sure you’re engaging the correct muscles. I’ve tried wearing baggy clothes to test their powers of observation. The trainers must have x-​ray vision and can totally call me out when I’m slacking or not performing the exercise properly. I also like how there’s classes offered here that are not offered at other studios like MOTR (really challenges your balance) and Bodhi (TRX-​like suspension with Pilates movement). So far, I’ve taken one Balanced Body teacher training class. I like how the class went really in depth into the anatomy you need to know for Pilates, and it was fun to work with clay. All views and opinions expressed in here are my own.

Konnect Pilates is by far the best Pilates studio I have been too. They have a variety of fun classes and all the instructors are great. They make sure your form is right so you get the most out of each exercise without injury. I love that they take the time for stretching several times throughout the class. I leave each class feeling great and I’m always so thankful I went.

I started training with them last (2015) August, and have a private session twice a week. (I haven’t had the chance to join any of their group classes yet, so my review isn’t based on those.)
My rating is based on two aspects of the studio: the staff (trainers) and the facilities. The trainers (I have worked mostly with Alexandra) do an outstanding job. Alexandra’s dance background enables her to spot my bad form immediately, and she knows (I suppose from her own training in Pilates) exactly what correction to give. The correction invariably makes the exercise both safer and more difficult (therefore, more productive) for me.
I can feel the results of my work in terms of significantly improved balance and agility, as well as greater core strength.
The equipment is well maintained, and, in some cases, unique or rare. The unique pieces were invented by one of the owners, and the rare ones (such as their CoreAlign machines) are not often found in other Pilates studios. In fact, it was CoreAlign that led me to the studio in the first place, even though I now do more work on the table and the «Reformer.»
I’m grateful to have discovered this «jewel» of a fitness resource in South Orange County, and would recommend it without hesitation to others.

I have been going to Konnect for just over a year now. I found them through one of those memberships that allows you to go to many different studios for the cost of one membership.
I tried most pilates and yoga studios in Orange County through that membership, but Konnect was the best I found. Each instructor has an exceptional understanding of the body and how it moves, they are able to give prompts to be sure you are getting the most out of each movement. There is a trap I’ve noticed at other places that encourage quantity of movement over quality. The instructors here realize that a motion performed more slowly and correctly makes a much more positive impact on the body than one done incorrectly at a pace to «make you sweat». Don’t get me wrong– they’ll make you sweat– but you’ll be moving in a controlled manner when you do so.
The short of it– they won me over. I am no longer paying that other membership when Konnect is the one on there that was really worth my time. I don’t even mind driving 17 miles out of my way to get there! They have barre, pilates, yoga, and more. Chances are, you’ll find something that really captures you there.

I am a Pilates instructor and I came here over the weekend for a workshop. It is the most well-​equipped studio that I have ever seen! The equipment is top notch! I cannot speak to the quality of the instructors since I didn’t take any classes there, but with this type of equipment, I am positive that the instructors have got to be excellent.

I am so impressed with this great Pilates studio! I was someone who thought Pilates was an intimidating exercise only for dancers. Well, I was totally wrong. Every instructor that I have been fortunate to work with has been extremely knowledgeable, helping each one of the participants in achieving the most from their session. I sure wish I had walked into their studio earlier… my body and mind would have been healthier and happier sooner.

Great place very clean and really nice equipment. Was greeted politely and worked with Alex who is very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely going back.

SUPER FANTASTIC! This place is INCREDIBLE! I can’t express how much they have helped me. The whole team is amazing! Not too long ago I had a painful ACL injury and through their guidance and classes, I am now PAIN FREE without needing surgery! Not only did they help but they also saved me tons of money! Thank you to everyone who works there! You can’t go wrong with this place!

They really are as good as everyone says! My daughter came here after an injury and the doctor suggested Pilates instead of physical therapy. She took privates and there was a dramatic difference in her strength in a matter of weeks. She is so much stronger. They knew exactly what she needed and where her weaknesses were and went right to work fixing her up. Now she is stronger than ever and injury free. It’s only been 2 months since she’s been coming here, I can only imagine where she’ll be in another 2 months!

I cannot say enough about this place! I’ve been coming for 4 months, 2 – 3 times a week. I started with an intro private session and then went into group reformer classes. The personal attention is incredible. Whatever issues you are having (lower back pain, shoulders, etc.), instructors are aware and either focus on avoiding those areas or include exercises that will help focus on your specific issue, even in group classes! Having small classes also helps cater to this kind of attention! Alexis, Dani, and Amy (amazing massage therapist too!) are just several of the fabulous instructors at this wonderful studio! I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing, well instructed, beautiful Pilates studio! THANK YOU!

I initially reviewed after a few sessions and then (as evidenced by my check-​ins) became a regular. They say you don’t know the value of something until you lose it. Well, after moving 33 miles away, I was no longer able to be a regular here. This was my first studio that I called «home». So, after trying other studios and classes, I must say, this is still by far the best studio anywhere. The class sizes are limited. The air conditioning works and they make it a point to ensure you are comfortable. The instructors have quite a bit of experience and I never once questioned their training or focus (unlike other places…). They offer a wide variety of types of classes and the scheduling is a breeze. I just wish they were a chain and had another studio closer to my new home.

I LOVE this place! Every teacher is great and caters to your specific needs for your workout. Deb really helped me out with being more body aware to get the most out of my workouts. Literally every teacher is great, the mat classes are just as challenging as the reformer classes and I definitely saw a change in my body and flexibility by the time my welcome package ended. It is too expensive for me to do year round but if I had the money I would be back three times a day! If you’re looking to try out pilates this is the place

I, like many other Orange County based dance students, work with VIktor and Kelly Uygan at Konnect Pilates. What makes them so special is that they support you in the training you are already receiving at whatever dance center you go to. They aim not to change anything your teacher is working on but rather to help your development like a private tutor would when you take an AP course. If you are stuck like I was with my technique, or just want that edge up like I have seen with dancers now at Royal, San Francisco, Houston, and other ballet schools, go see Viktor and Kelly @ Konnect. it’s not vanilla pilates. Since V&K are former dancers, it’s dance conditioning like nothing you have ever had! Their training helped me to activate and use my muscles correctly.

Viktor & Kelly have built an amazing studio. ArtForm was recommended to me following a serious injury for physical therapy & rehabilitation. I started with private sessions for rehab and now enjoy Pilates group classes. Each of the trainers takes the time to understand each students needs, goals and any physical restrictions. Whether a private session or a group class, the trainers are professional, caring and supportive. I recommend ArtForm to everyone I know.

A hidden gem in the heart of Orange County. For more than 10 years Artform Studio has always stood out as the #1 Training and conditioning centre for people of all shapes and sizes. From the moment you step foot into the studio you feel at home with a warm energy that just makes you want to come back for more!

It was really enjoyable. Only think is that it is very pricey, and for a college student… well it is tough to make the payments. other than that, the place is amazing! if you can make the payments, I say do it!

I have to disagree with whoever this YA Y. (what kind of name is that?). If you check her other reviews, you’ll notice she complains pretty much that everyone is arrogant.
I used to work next to the ArtForm Studio. I have students and friends who went to ArtForm regularly, and they are happy with their service and I notice the result. I work with dancers and have a degree in dance. I work with bodies daily and am very familiar with pilates, yoga, gyrotonics, feldenkrais, Bartenief Fundamentals, etc.
I believe ArtForm studio is the only few studios I know that I would trust myself to go to get in shape and to retrain my body. As a dancer myself, I prefer ArtForm over just straight Pilates and Yoga.
