I have been to Dr. Heinrich for several years now, doing surgical and nonsurgical procedures on my face.
Dr. Heinrich is a very kind person with a big heart, who truly cares about his patients.
I have work done by other doctors (in Beverly Hills) — some of them seems to be in a rush, some dismissed my concerns, some were so arrogant I feel humiliated. In contrary — Dr. Heinrich is down to earth, easy going, makes you feel comfortable, always find a time for you –coming early or stay late, spend time with patients on weekends. He always listen to your concern, needs and hopes and make sure that you finally leave his office with100% satisfaction!
His staff is so very friendly, well trained and skilled, easy to work with and always treating you with respect.
Thank you Dr. Heinrich for your patience, honesty and great done work! You are the best!

Billing is an issue. I came here for a second opinion, less then 25 minutes was spent with me, Dr Heinrich used information that I brought from another Dr.‘s office, an charged $ 740.24. That’s crazy!

I broke my nose badly about 4 years ago and couldn’t really breathe the same every since so I finally decided to get the damage repaired as well as a rhinoplasty by Dr. Heinrich. I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of my surgery. My nose looks amazing from the outside. He repaired the inside and made a world of a difference breathing wise. Dr. Heinrich met with me a total of 4 times within 8 days after my surgery, had all my questions and concerns answered. I always felt confident I was under the best care. His staff are the friendliest, nicest people you could ever work with. (Love Nancy and Gigi — they will take care of you, they are the best!!) Overall I couldn’t be more satisfied with my entire experience at Dr. Heinrich’s office. And I am not the only one! My sister and girl friend have both gotten rhinoplasties from Dr. Heinrich as well and were both extremely happy with the outcome!

I can’t thank Dr. Heinrich and his staff enough for making this experience so easy and comfortable. This being my first surgery ever I had some apprehension about the procedure fearing something complicated could result during the surgery. However, it couldn’t had gone any smoother. I’m two weeks out and healing remarkably! Dr. Heinrich is top notch and knows what he’s doing. Please be very careful with this office, because they tried to bill my insurance for services not rendered. I spoke to the office manager and she was sketchy and tried to divert the conversation in their favor. Please be careful if you are involved with this Doctor!

Dr. Heinrich was referred to me by an oncology nurse at St. Joseph’s in Orange as I was finishing chemo for breast cancer. My right eye was drooping so badly it was almost closed.
I’ve now been a patient of Dr. Heinrich’s for over 10 years and he has performed at least 4 surgeries. As stated the first surgery was for a badly drooping eyelid due to glaucoma. The surgery may sound simple but it’s not because the opposite oddly doesn’t react well when you have glaucoma and you can end up looking like a wide eyed clown. I did not have that outcome.
The second surgery was for a basal cell so large it required a cheek advancement. My scar runs from the outer corner of my right eye to my nose to the corner of my mouth. Good luck finding it, he’s that good.
The third surgery was for a badly broken nose. I’m blind in my right eye from glaucoma so I fall a bit lol. You can’t tell I broke it and I did a face plant onto cans of dog food and black top!
There’s been another eye droop surgery. Perfect results.
3 weeks ago another surgery for a large basal cell on the side of my face, Laser for many pre-​cancers and a squamous cell. I couldn’t be happier.
He is kind, considerate and goes above and beyond. His staff is the exact same. I’m baffled by the negative posts because I would never let anyone else touch my face as a surgeon even though as a registered nurse I know many fine physicians and surgeons. I give him my highest recommendation.

Let me start by saying Dr Heinrich is an agreeable enough person, but I would never recommend him as a doctor. To start with, every single visit I’ve had, he’s always been rushed and literally walks away towards the door while you’re still talking to him, so it never really helps you feel confident about a solution for your medial issue.
I’ve always had nasal and respiratory issues. Long story short, I was told to get a septoplasty, as a straightened septum would permit clear airflow and improve my breathing. In NO way did I want to have cosmetic surgery done, I wanted my nose as big as it’s always been, just better at breathing! Luckily, he listened and left my nose alone… more on that later…
He seemed to be much more focused on the cosmetic aspects of his work, and never gave the impression that he was listening to you or cared to solve your problems. If anything, it seemed he just wanted to get you on the surgery table, regardless, and make as much money as possible (I don’t throw words like that around lightly, that’s the honest impression I got).
Perhaps his office was overworked, perhaps he’s under a lot of stress, but regardless a doctor’s main objective should be to listen to the patient’s issues, diagnose the problem and find a solution, and he did none of that.
After my surgery, a close friend also got a septoplasty, asking for no cosmetic changes. Dr Heinrich performed surgery, and my friend woke up with a chopped up, much smaller nose…
While small talk was enjoyable (when he wasn’t rushing out of the office), I was left disappointed completely with the experience, and above all, my breathing never got better, regardless of how much pain and how much he assured me it would be fine after 3 months, max! Do your research and go somewhere else!

I was diagnosed a little over a year ago with Angiosarcoma, a rare blood vessel wall cancer on my nose. As there is not a standard treatment protocol, I first opted for chemo therapy. My tumor receded then reappeared 1 year later. After comprehensive consultation with my Oncologist I opted for a surgical protocol. Having met with many surgeons I selected Dr. James Heinrich. His concern, diligent interaction with pathology, coupled with his brilliant surgical skill yielded not only clear margins but impeccable results. I cannot say enough about Dr. Heinrich and his staff (they are the best!). The surgery was complex. The results amazing. Dr. Heinrich’s skill sets and care are nonpareil. Highest of all recommendations.

I had my nose completely reconstructed from Dr. Heinrich, from a previous, botched rhinoplasty by an unscrupulous plastic surgeon, who collapsed my nose.
Other plastic surgeons tried to fix it, and couldn’t.
Dr. Heinrich was the only Dr. who could.
I am so grateful, he took me on as a patient, and had the intelligence, skill, and confidence to correct it!
Dr. Heinrich has always been kind to me, and has kept the same, nice staff for many years.
Dr. Heinrich volunteers facial reconstruction, for battered women victims, who have been abused by «men» (losers/​wimps who lose 2 fights w/​other men ha).
He doesn’t just take on the simple cosmetic procedures. He helps where his surgical expertise is needed, what other Drs. are not capable of doing, or who just want the simple «boob jobs.»
I also know two other people who were patients of Dr. Heinrich. And both of them were happy with there result, as well.
I get compliments on my nose now. I just wish I had gone to him first.
He is a great facial plastic surgeon, knows what he is doing, and gets it done right.

Back in December I went to see Dr. Heinrich for a consult regarding the liver spots on my face. The initial consultation was free and he spent well over 30 minutes with me discussing the best laser treatment for me. I decided on the Fraxel and I could not be happier. I had expected it to be painful and the recovery to be a bit much, but I was very surprised that it was painless and the recovery time was minimal. I could not be happier with the results. Dr. Heinrich and his staff could not have been more helpful and caring from the first visit. I was a little nervous on the first appointment but between the time the Dr. Heinrich spent with me and meeting Nancy my mind was put at ease. Nancy, showed me photo’s and was so personable.
I have to also share, that on one of my follow-​up visits there was a lovely elderly lady waiting in the lobby with me. She had seen Dr. Heinrich for reconstructive surgery for cancer and had only wonderful things to share with me about the office and all of the staff. As we were talking two of the nurses came out to great her and gave her a big hug and asked her how she was doing and they were all three joking and laughing and hugging as they took her back for her appointment. It touched my heart to see such sincerely caring people.

Highly recommend my Aesthetician, Dianna Di Pietro. For many years she perfectly shaped my brows. When I joined her at Pacific Coast Cosmetic, I decided to let her show me what she could really do. She’s up to date on the latest treatments and not pushy with the products. I have noticed an improvement in my skin and look forward to see where she leads me next.

I did not have the best experience or rhinoplasty result here. I think he could be an ok surgeon and has had some good results. But mine wasn’t great and was not what we discussed.
My girlfriend had had a good result here, so I let him do my surgery just based on that alone. That turned out to be a big mistake for me, so please, do your research and choose someone who respects you enough to listen to you and answer all your questions! That did not happen here.
First of all, he always made me wait longer than 15 minutes for every single appointment. One time, he made me wait in his procedure room for over an HOUR. The staff said his schedule was clear, and that there was no need for that to have happened, and when I asked him what took so long, he had the audacity to say, «I was just piddling around.» Really? Wow.
ATTITUDE: He is also pretty rude and does not listen or answer questions. On several occasions, Dr. Heinrich actually walked out of the room, nodding, while I was in the middle of asking him a question! He never really answered my questions at all.
COMMUNICATION SUCKS: I finally tried to write him a letter, asking him all the questions about my surgery that he would not answer in person. But what do you think he did? He said he did not bother to read it! That he «scanned» it! So as inconvenient and costly as this is going to be to get a better result elsewhere, I think I’ve just about had it with his attitude!
STAFF: The staff reflected his energy, and were also not very nice or very efficient. The nurse that came in after my surgery made me stand up immediately, even tho I was telling her NO! So she made me puke all over another nurse who got MAD at me and stormed out saying, «I didn’t sign up for this!»
INAPPROPRIATE: He also made off color jokes during his consults with me. When I was describing the areas of my nose I was not happy with, I was telling him it was too wide with nothing on the top, and everything pointing down on the bottom. His response? He made some off color joke about a woman’s figure and how no one likes that, and walked out of the room without answering my question.
POOR DOCUMENTATION!: Finally, after becoming painfully aware I needed to go elsewhere to get this fixed, I asked him for my surgical notes, so I could consult with other surgeons and you would not believe what he gave me! The fact that my name is spelled completely wrong was nothing compared to the notes themselves, which state that I came to him complaining that I don’t like my «nasal parents» as well as notes about a colon incision, cephalic tremors, and some kind of incision at L5 lumbar!
Geez! I had no idea I had intestinal, brain and back surgery that day!
I have put in 2 calls to his office since to get an accurate report; no return call, as of Feb 22^nd, the date of this review.
SUMMARY: I came to Dr. Heinrich and asked him to simply take a little cartilage out of the tip, reshape it and bring it up, and plug up a deficit on the top. What he did left me without a bridge, wide on the top and I still have the deficit; AND now my tip points down! Nothing we agreed on was done and now I have to photoshop every picture to fix the resulting «polly beak» he gave me.
I did let him try to fix it a year later, but he did not succeed. For the past now yer and a half, he has been telling me that it was going to get better, but it never did.
I did finally have him put some Juvaderm in the bridge to help the look of the awful scoop he gave me, and that looks a lot better. But get this: HE CHARGED ME FOR THE JUVADERM! Seriously? I have to PAY to have a temporary FIX for HIS mistake? That really sucked! But the Juvaderm was the only thing that has kept my sanity about this this year!
Anyway, I am giving up on them. He may have been able to fix this; I am not sure. He did not do a horrible job, just did not do what we discussed and was too aggressive with what he did. He has a carefree, careless attitude, and simply does not listen to his patients. He’s not without skill, but he’s a wild card. My advice is to go elsewhere. If they ever call me back or wind up making this right, I will edit the review. But until then, I am on the search for a good surgeon who can complete the job and restore my nose.
***UPDATE*** 3÷25÷14 I was just informed by Nancy at Dr. Heinrich’s office that because I posted this review, he is no longer interested in communicating or offering any remedy to this. I am have asked for medical records and surgical notes that make sense instead of the jibberish I received so I can find a surgeon good enough to fix what he left me with.

First off, he does not have a current medical license.
Secondly, he does not know what he is doing. His staff is the only part of the practice that I would compliment. They knew my name, asked about my family etc. In my first appointments, Mr. Heinrich would come in for 5 minutes, say this or that and leave. I assumed it normal as I hadn’t made any commitments for surgery. I’m sure doctors get shopped a lot, and didnt blame him for not spending time with me, although, it seems like that would be a good practice if you are trying to win business.
Anyway, before my surgery, Heinrich explained what we were going to do. He sounded confident and knowledgeable. He was very laid back, which I thought was strange, but attributed it to the fact that he has probably done this so often, it is not a big deal to him. Weeks before my surgery, he decided I needed to get my tonsils out in addition to my rhinoplasty. I suffered from strep-​throat frequently and agreed it was a good idea.
The day of the surgery, he was late. We were waiting and waiting and finally he showed up as I was laying on a bed waiting to be wheeled into the OR. His hair was tousled like he’d just woken up. He had a cup of coffee and wandered over to me and said «who are you and what are we doing here?». I was absolutely speechless. I hoped he was joking, but then he grabbed my file and said «Oh yes… ok. Everything is going to be fine. I will come check on you when you wake up before they release you»
I woke up in a lot of pain, which is normal. The surgery center was great about helping me manage that. After a night, they let me go. I said that the doctor wanted to check on me before I was released. They called him, and even though he was next door at his office, he said he couldn’t make it and sent a nurse…
About 5months after the surgery when everything had healed, I was not pleased with the results. My nose was better, but he had not done what he said he was going to do. The tip of my nose pointed down (he said it would point up) and my nostrils were not symmetrical or even. It felt like a botched job. He kept saying «this is how it is supposed to look. this is normal. it will heal and look how we want it to». It never did. After the surgery he had said that he would fix it if I didnt like it. A year later, he said he knew it wasnt what he promised, although he barely knew who I was, so I cant imagine he remembered what he planned to do. I asked if he could fix it free of charge, like he also promised, and he then said it was still settling and we should wait.
18months later, I get a bill for $ 3000. I am now unemployed. I dont have insurance or an income. Apparently they never billed the insurance company for the tonsillectomy, or even consulted them as to what they would cover, because they lost my insurance information. So quoting me based on what insurance would and would not cover was basically just a shot in the dark.
So today, I decided to check his medical license and there is no record of a physician’s or surgeon’s license for a James A. Heinrich.
Basically, this was my first surgical procedure and I didnt know what I was walking into. I should have shopped around more. At the same time, a coworker got a similar procedure and just listening to him describe his experience made me very envious. Surgery is a big decision and I was treated callously and almost condescendingly because I had questions, was uncertain and wanted to be 100% sure of the procedure, expectations, etc. This man is extremely unprofessional, not a good surgeon and I do not recommend him to anyone. If you are considering him, please visit a few other doctors before making a decision.

Amazing Dr. Who is personal, professional, with outstanding patient communication. Staff & office are calming & great to deal with. I was told I would be in good hands…& extremely pleased with every aspect. Dr. Heinrich, we appreciate you!
