Okay, so you’ve had your say, Scott. If you’d only had this measure of concern when you were first contacted by telephone 2 years ago, this could have gone a lot differently.
My husband called you soon after we moved in to discuss about the missed issues you didn’t want to hear it then and you basically told him, «sorry about your luck, buddy» and said there is no recourse for missed issues. You are allowed, even expected to screw up. Good for you, you succeeded!
YOU could’ve handled this by speaking to us like a decent professional 2 years ago.
We also reported your failures to our realtors. They are well aware.
Much of the electricity did not work, the furnace ducts were not functioning; the dryer duct was completely disconnected; there was a hole in the stucco, etc, etc. Why are you interested NOW??? You sure didn’t care before this Unilocal review.

Forgive me for my dry spell in reviews, fellow Unilocalers… I assure you I have a perfectly reasonable explanation and it begins here:

After some assinine landlord drama at the end of August (don’t even friggin ask — apparently my «vicious» dog has miraculously gone 7 years without biting someone)

Brandon and I threw up our hands in exasperation and decided perhaps it was time to prequalify for a mortgage and be done with the rental market once and for all. So we started poking around on Redfin (if you’re hunting for real estate, this is an awesome resource) and drove around on Labor Day scouting out locations.
IT. HAPPENED. SO. FAST.
Within a week we stumbled upon a condo in Huntington Beach and after viewing it a second time, we put in an offer. And our offer was accepted — against a full-​asking, all cash investor offer. WHA?!
The big guy upstairs was definitely looking out for us, I swear. Mind blown. (Tip: Write a letter to your seller and include a couple cute pictures of yourselves and your vicious dog with your offer)
Enter Inspect OC.
Scott was spectacular and thorough with our home inspection. He was kind and patient with first time buyers and I truly appreciate the extra care given. He explained EVERYTHING to us along the way and procured a detailed report the same day. Report in hand, I was able to request a few minor fixes and disclosures from the seller that were accepted. I would recommend Inspect OC to anyone.
We’re still in escrow, but things are moving in a promising direction!

Called up in a bind. My inspector cancelled less than 24 hours before my inspection on a holiday weekend. I was able to get an inspection scheduled at a reasonable price for the same time slot in 5 minutes! A+++ on customer service… well done

Every person I interacted with at Inspect OC were all helpful. The entire process went very smoothly from beginning to end. Scott McMillin was thorough in every aspect of the inspection, answered every question I had, and was just pleasant to speak to.
