Fife Endodontics

Not impressed. I was added on for a last minute root canal, came in already numb from my dentist and was told Dr. Fife wanted to see me today and so I cancelled my other doctors appointment for later that day and waited for my root canal. Maybe that was my mistake, maybe I should’ve waited and did my research or hit «pause». I was worried that since it was the end of the day and I was a add-​on, would the dentist take his time to do a good job? He was nice enough, but I did get a sense he rushed through the procedure. It was very wham bam, thank you ma”am. And a week later, my jaw is still aching. Which may or may not be normal — but my grievances were:
1.) after I was seated in the chair, waiting for Dr. Fife, he coolly said to me — X will go over with you the cost and went back to his other patient. I had asked if it would be covered when I got in and was told yes, but have it said to me while I’m the chair, with the paper napkin around my neck, while expecting to have the procedure caught me off guard, in a bad way.
2.) was told several times, «Dr. Fife will call you tonight to check in after the procedure». Seems like a good idea and a gimmick. He did call, while I was sleeping off the pain, and left a message to «feel free to call back»; which I did 45 mins later and left a message about my concerns/​pain and not being able to open my jaw. Did I get a call back same day or next day (24 hours)? No.
3.) the next day, 24 hours later, I called the office with follow up questions about it discomfort and was told Dr. Fife would call me back. Did I get a call back? No
4.) now it’s been a week and I still have not heard back. I wonder if I ever will? Ended up having another dentist look at the X-​ray and she said they were good — which I hope/​believe is true. He seemed to be confident and has a steady hand.
The office is very nice, posh, and impressive — don’t get me wrong. I guess I’m left with wanting more «real» patient centered care, concern, and follow up instead of something superficial.

Dr. Fife and his staff should be commended for their work. My personal dentist doesn’t do endodontics, so they contacted Dr. Fife’s office to fit me in. They were able to see me «SAME DAY»!! I had been in pain for 4 days, and when I got to the office (which is very nice) the staff got me going with intake information right away. I didn’t wait long at all, even though I was early for my appointment. I was impressed by the state of the art equipment for x-​rays and such. But, I was even more impressed by the TOTAL CARE of Dr. Fife and his staff. My teeth have had many Dentists prior to Dr. Fife, to my dismay. I’m very optimistic that I have found an endodontist who will be amazing for future needs.

Dr. Fife is definitely the most skilled, compassionate and caring dentist I have ever been to. and I have been to a lot. The 2 girls that were working that day (I’m sorry I forgot their names) were 2 of the sweetest women I have met! They were very accommodating and got me in at last minutes notice for the following day. The night before my procedure, my mom was very worried and got his cell phone number from their after hours answering machine. When she got a hold of him, he didn’t even seemed to be bothered and truly cared! He called in some medication to my pharmacy and when my mom got there, they were already filled. Dr. Fife did my 6^th root canal. all of the other dentists I have been to I have had to take something for anxiety. but not with him. The moment I walked in to his practice, I felt so at ease. When he was finished, he made sure I wouldn’t be in any discomfort when I got home and even called me after business hours to make sure I was ok. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Fife and his wonderful staff to anyone, especially for people who have fear/​anxiety towards dentists.

I was referred to Dr. Fife by my dentist after experiencing tooth pain for about a week. I’ve heard all the horror stories about root canal and I was soooooo scared. Dr. Fife was the best. I ‘m sure he could tell how scared I was because I was shaking. He explained the procedure in advance and told me that he would make sure I had a pain free experience. Throughout the entire process, he explained what he was going to do and continually checked in to see if I was comfortable. I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but it was a piece of cake. Literally, it was easier than getting a filling. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Fife to anyone needing a root canal.

Dr. Fife and his staff are wonderful. I was greeted warmly and seen promptly. The Endo procedure was easy and painless and I really appreciated the state of the art equipment. I would give 6 stars if possible!

Dr. Fife and his office staff are amazing. I’ve been holding off on my root canal until my tooth started hurting again a few days before thanksgiving. I gave this office a call based on the Unilocal reviews and Shana was able to verify my insurance, provide pricing information (very reasonable btw) and got me scheduled for consultation the next day.
The day of my appointment I walked in to this beautiful state of the art office and was greeted right away. The 3D cone beam ct imaging he uses is pretty cool, don’t have to deal with painful old X-​ray machines. Dr. Fife was able to start on my root canal that same day and because it’s my back molar, I had a second appointment.
During my procedure, Dr. Fife really insured that I was comfortable, numbed and explained the details of what he was doing. He really did an amazing job and the fact that he calls his patient the night after the procedure really shows what a great dentist he is.
Highly recommend this place, and as much as I don’t want another root canal, it’s great to know I can always go back here.

I woke up this morning with a horrible tooth ache. My dentist called his office and the worked me onto their schedule. Dr. Fife is excellent at identifying the problem. He needed to preform a root canal. I relaxed comfortably during the procedure. Dr. Fife and is staff are excellent!

Dr. Fife is the Zen master of dentistry! The office is beautiful, high tech equipment around but it feels like a day spa. Big bright rooms and comfortable dental chairs. I recently had a traumatic experience with a dentist and was ivery nervous to get a root canal. Dr Fife was so patient and made me really feel like he understood my concerns. He, and his staff, were incredibly kind and walked me through each step of the procedure.
I was so relaxed during my root canal that I almost took a nap. He even called me, personally, later in the evening to see how I was doing.
All that and fairly priced, based on the other Endontists in the area. I would highly recommend him!

Let me just start by saying this: in my book any dentist or specialist doesn’t stand a chance. If you have to poke and drill inside my mouth I automatically don’t like you and I have never, ever gone to the same dentist/​specialist twice. Typically I go, get work done and leave hating the place because they weren’t sensitive/​kind enough to my inner pyscho that comes out during times of pain.
All of that to say, dr. fife really won me over. I came in in so much pain and so impatient and he was so kind, sensitive understanding and gentle. He got me all set up, made sure I wasn’t in any pain during the procedure and walked me through and explained what he was doing the whole time.
After he was finished he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call if there were any issues even though he was going on vacation! Then he called me that night to make sure everything was running smoothly.
The office itself is nice and cozy, the receptionist talked me through her root canal because she could tell I was nervous and made me feel so much better. Sarah, his assistant, was so sweet and made me feel comfortable.
I honestly couldn’t have dreamt of a better experience. I am so glad I found this place and I would recommend it to anyone!

Going to the dentist have just gotten better thanks Dr. Fife and staff for taking such good care of me. From the moment i walked through the door i was made to feel comfortable the atmosphere and décor is really nice my experience at the office has been the best. For those who have a fear of going to the dentist I would say go see Dr. Fife no pain and they really do care. When I made it home he called that evening to see how I was doing and said I should call him if I had any questions. I also must comment on the new monitor in the dentist office and the supplies that makes going to the dentist a lot less scary more relax and modern. I would continue to see Dr. Fife when needed as well as telling family and friends that are looking for a dentist in the near future.

We went to Yue family Dentistry (which we love!) for a cleaning. We were told that my daughters fillings were leaking and she may need a root canal. Dr. Yue requested we go to Fife Endodontics across the street to get a second opinion on one of her teeth so they could come up with a game plan for her.
Dr. Fife was AMAZING. Firstly, the staff was so kind! The girls in the front were so helpful and sweet.
It turned out that my daughter did need the root canal. It was after 5 by then but he said he would stay and take care of it right away since we were coming from Long Beach. He made my daughter feel so comfortable and was so quick with the whole process. Even with the xrays he was doing, he was being so careful and continued to ask her if she was comfortable. If she said «Ow» he asked, «Are you okay? I’m sorry if I hurt you. Can we still be friends?» She was smiling through the process. She wanted to see what he was doing but since she was unable to see the camera, he took photos of everything so after the root canal, he could show her what he did. So nice!
She literally left his office smiling and asking if she could come back soon to get more work done. What 10 year old WANTS to go to dentist to get work done?
Her teeth looked great! He is definitely a perfectionist because he went checked everything over and over to make sure it was exact.
Later that evening, Dr. Fife even called my cell phone to speak to my daughter to ask how she was feeling and to make sure she didn’t feel any discomfort. She was gleaming.

Dr. Fife and his entire staff are the greatest! I was in misearable pain due to an infection in a back molar that had a root canal and crown years ago. I called on a Monday and by Tuesday morning I was in his office. He was able to save the tooth from extraction, treat the infection in the tooth and prepare it for a new crown. And the best part of it was that the entire dental procedure was pain free! Absolutely the best in town.

Absolutely an amazing experience! I had to redo a root canal that a previous Dr. Had done incorrectly. Dr. Fife corrected and redid the root canal and I felt absolutely no pain other than the small initial prick to numb my mouth which is barely worth mentioning. My experience with Dr. Fife and his team were extremely professional and polite. All the horror stories I’ve heard (including the 1^st root canal I experienced) about root canals being such a painful procedure definitely do not apply to Dr. Fife!

Another dental office told me I needed 2 crowns, which might later necessitate a root canal. I got a second opinion from Dr. Alan Johnson, who referred me to Dr. Fife, an endodontist, who said the tooth was too far cracked to recommend a root canal/​crown as I would just be back in a couple of years with an infection and need an extraction.
Dr. Fife chose to tell me what was best for me instead of what would make him the most money. In my opinion, the other dentist was telling me to do what would make him the most money and rationalizing it as «ok.» (I went to Dr. Adam Clark, who did a great job extracting my molar.)
Dr. Fife’s 3D Xray machine is amazing; totally state of the art. His staff is so professional and office exudes professionalism and comfort for his patients, who obviously come first in his practice.
Even though I just had a consult and 3D xrays with Dr. Fife, I wanted to rate him here because it is so rare these days that a professional will do what is best for the patient, even when he could have justified doing some work on me and making money for himself. I really trust this guy and give him my highest recommendation.

They honestly don’t get any better than this when it comes to dentistry. Professional friendly staff, precision perfect work, knowledgeable, gentle hands (and this is important with dentistry if you’re on the receiving side) and explains everything which added even more comfort and ease.
Follow up phone call after every visit! I didn’t think anyone did that anymore, but it’s refreshing to see anyone take their work as seriously as he does.

I was in a lot of pain recently and called my dentist. Upon meeting with my dentist he explained that I would need an emergency root canal. I was not sure where to go or who to turn to but my dentist recommended Dr. Fife.
I called Dr. Fife’s office that same day and Dr. Five was able to get me in right away! I was so happy when I met with Dr. Fife. He explained everything that was going to happen. He was very caring and concerned about my comfort. After the procedure was over my pain was gone. Dr. Fife even called me that night to check in on me. He went above and beyond all of my expectations.

I had the BEST experience here. I needed to get a root canal re-​done b/​c another endodontist didn’t clear one of my canals well in one of my roots. So I was referred over to Dr. Fife, because my dentist knows I’m picky and I wanted someone who was a perfectionist like myself. Hence Dr. Fife.
Anyways his office was super accommodating. My insurance had rolled over to a new plan through my employer, and their office worked with me so I could get all the billing information over (they were patient with me!). So once that got handled, I went in for my appointment, and found Dr. Fife to be caring, interested and really understanding, he gets that everyone has a different anatomy when it comes to teeth! He re-​did the job, and I just got back from the 2^nd appointment where they seal it. I haven’t had an issue, no pain, and I walked away feeling that it’s finally fixed. Can’t say enough positive stuff about him. He saved my tooth and for that I am very grateful. Highly recommend him as he’s sharp and highly meticulous.
Oh, and he personally follows up with you in the evening to make sure everything is OK. I mean, that’s so rare these days. Real stand-​up guy.
