Autobahn West

This review is 2 years overdue, but Brandon managed to repair my broken instrument cluster in my 325ci, a problem that is not commonly repaired. A new instrument cluster costs about $ 1,000 and Brandon managed to find the parts on eBay and repair it for $ 350. I am super picky about who touches my car and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it to Brandon. He does the job right, does all the little things other shops don’t care to do, and is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended shop

Brandon at Autobahn West is great! My wife and I have a Mercedes and Porsche Cayenne. He always gives the best options (using OEM parts) for the work that needs to be done, and at a good price. He is honest, knowledgeable, and easy going. If you have a European car, I highly recommend using Autobahn West. You won’t be disappointed.

Coming to Autobahn West has always been a worry free experience for me. Brandon is straightforward and completely upfront. His ability to provide great customer service and to explain what is going on with the mechanics of the car is fantastic! We’ve had multiple vehicles serviced at Autobahn West including a Mini Cooper and a Volvo XC90. Their prices have always been entirely fair and competitive.
One experience stands out: The Mini Cooper would stall during stop and go traffic. I took the car to a couple places to obtain estimates (including a BMW/​Mini dealership) and was told varying ideas about what was wrong with it. Took it to Brandon and he said he thought it just needed an oil change (even though it wasn’t quite due for one) and that he had seen this problem before. I was skeptical but he seemed to know what he was talking about, so we gave it a try and it completely fixed the problem. Not one of the other places had even suggested that it could be something so simple and inexpensive.
This is the only place we have our out-​of-​warranty cars serviced. They are the best!

Brandon is a surfer dude and he calls me brother. :) I took my Porsche Panamera for an oil change and a brake job. The oil change is about ¹⁄₃ of dealership price and the brake job is about 15% cheaper than any other non– dealer specialty shop. He performed all work to my full satisfaction, he was VERY courteous and he performed the repairs on time. So far, this is 3 stars.
Unfortunately, he does not work on other brands. For the Toyota, I still go to BC Advance Auto Repair.
So what makes him a 5 star:
He is honest, dedicated and knowledgeable .
In my case, he computer-​checked the engine because the the check engine light was on, without being asked and without charging me anything. then he said that there may be a small leak ($ 100 to repair) or replacing a chip ($ 1200 to repair). Then he said: «whatever it is, drive it until you are up for smog check in 2 years because it does not affect driving or performance. Then you must have it repaired.»
Who refuses making money right away? Well, Brandon does.
He impressed me so much, I took my Mercedes there for repair and service the next week without shopping around for the best deal.

Brandon is the man!!! He helped me get my car fixed fast and quick! He’s always given me great advice and been extremely helpful and HONEST. Which is definitely necessary when it comes to auto repair. Definitely check Autobahn West out next time you need your car fixed!

Working with Brandon at Autobahn West for over 2 years now he always gives great advise and good service — just had him replace the brake pads on our Cayenne for a very reasonable price (knows that I typically go thru them quickly) — quick turn around was ready the same day we dropped it off!

I’m skeptical when I read reviews that are plain awful or gushingly good, but I can’t say enough great stuff about Brandon and team. This past weekend they made time for my Beemer and did a substantial amount of work. Brandon took the trouble to defer payment until he researched more information on my insurance policy which paid for a good chunk of the bill. Brandon not only took care of my car, saved a large portion using the insurance, and promptly called me on Monday when we settled up. My older brother is an expert mechanic yet I take my Beemer’s to Brandon because of the terrific work they do. Good pricing on German verhicles, great service and Brandon explains the work in detail.

Just moved to the OC and was very nervous about where to take my 07 Porsche 997. These guys are legit. Answered everything the right way. Very knowledgeable about Porsches. I would definitely recommend them. They seem very honest.

I brought my 02 Porsche 996 for clutch/​ims bearing job. I cannot be happier with service and the work was done in my car. Price was very reasonable and I was always informed if there were any options for the parts and service. The work was performed the very same day: I dropped off my car and the work was done in 1 ½ days. Brandon and other gentleman I talked to are both really nice and knowledgable guys, and Brandon does great job explaing the procedures, and quick to respond to any inquiries. I plan to take my car here as long as I have the car and I will definately recommend this shop to my friends, family and other Unilocalers.

I searched Unilocal for a local independent place to have my Mercedes CLS 500 serviced. The reviews on Autobahn West were all excellent. I contacted Brandon to inquire about the B service for my ride. Brandon was very courteous on the phone and also incredibly knowledgable. His pricing was very competitive and he thoroughly explained what the service included.
Today, I just had my service completed. Brandon and his team did a great job.

Brandon is awesome. Very personable and does a great job of going the extra step to insure our car is repaired properly. We have an extend warranty on our SL550 through Carmax and he has done an exceptional job insuring we get covered on in warranty repairs.

I just recently bought a Porsche Cayman. It was great to find an honest shop. Brandon was very knowledgable and very helpful. This will be the shop I have all my work done. I would recommend them to any German make cars.

A couple of years ago we searched Unilocal for a good mechanic, saw all the great reviews for Autobahn West and decided to give it a try. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. P. S. Brandon is one of the reasons for Autobahn’s great success.

I’ve lived in OC for five years but I have continued to take my two Mercedes to my mechanic in Redondo Beach. I heard that Autobahn was a good place for repairs in OC. They were awesome! Brandon is truly honest and amazing. He told me what he was going to repair, what the cost was and didn’t try to add anything that wasn’t necessary. I now have my entire family going to him.

My first experience here was 2 years ago when my wife had an Audi TT with a broken window switch. After much calling around, Brandon sounded the most knowledgeable so we chose him. He repaired the broken window switch for a fraction of the dealer estimate. Since then he has taken care of all the regular maintenance.
Recently my Porsche Carrera S had an engine light and airbag light come on. I took it to the dealer where I purchased it and they made the light go away. A few weeks later, the lights came back on. The dealer would no longer cover the cost of repairs so I decided to take my car to Brandon. Brandon diagnosed the problem with Porsche factory tools and fixed everything. When I went to pick up my car, he provided me with the parts that were defective and documents for the firmware update.
Brandon is courteous, knowledgeable, professional, meticulous and his prices are more than fair. He definitely goes out of his way to make sure things are done properly and that you know exactly what services he provided. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

Had my Porsche serviced here 3 times in the last year. It has 180k miles…
Easy to get an appointment, the guy up front is thorough and takes time to explain what is the likely problem, follows up with a call after diagnosis, gives a fair (not cheap) price.
The latest visit was just for a front light replacement and I was in the area so I stopped by to ask if they could do it and how long it would take. For some reason I thought it was a bit of labor and may cost a few hundred dollars. Nope, it was done in 20 minutes for FREE! NICE!
