We are conveniently located in the Kohl’s Shopping Plaza at Miramar Square. Dr. Christie Waldie Torres and her team believe in a compassionate and comprehensive approach to healthcare. From diet and nutrition to proper medical care, we take our time to examine your pet and discuss any issues related to your pet’s health as well as answer any questions that you may have.

We realize how important the human-​animal bond is and strive to keep your pet happy and healthy for many years to come.

History

Established in 2011.

Dr. Christie Waldie-​Torres is a native of South Florida and attended the University of Florida where she earned her B.S. in Zoology in 1997 and her Doctorate of medicine in 2002. She practiced medicine for 10 years at an animal hospital in Coral Springs where she attained the position of Medical Director before deciding to open up her own practice.

Dr. Waldie-​Torres is a native South Floridian who graduated from the University of Florida with her BS in zoology in 1997 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has worked in South Florida for over 10 years and opened her own practice in 2011, fulfilling a lifelong dream. She lives with her husband, Jessie, their 2 young sons, their 3 cats (Purrcey, Moz, and Tyrion), 1 dog (Molly), a chameleon, a gecko and numerous fish. When not at work, Dr. Waldie-​Torres enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

I have brought two animals to this hospital, both are dead. The first was a dog that I took to another vet for a second opinion, he had emergency surgery and was put to sleep on the table. I gave that a pass because the condition is somewhat obscure. however, I brought my cat in 3 weeks ago for a urinary tract infection. while we were in the exam room, I said my last vet said my cat had a heart murmur,(we moved and were unable to follow up on it then) do you hear it? Should I do anything about it? She very briefly listened and said nope sounds great to me. So, I took her for her word for it thinking my cat had nothing more that a little infection. Well 3 days ago I found my cat with rapid breathing and pale gums so I took him to the emergency clinic. When we arrived the vet listened to his heart and instantly said we have a problem, your cat has a bad murmur. I think he’s in heart failure. Long story short my cat was stabilized overnight in an oxygen tank then taken straight to the veterinary cardiologist where after trying to save him he died that same day. Both vets said he had that murmur before he was rushed to the emergency vet. His diagnosis was hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I called my old vet just to make sure I remembered her telling me the cat had a murmur and sure enough it was in his chart. Had we caught this in time chances are we could have given him daily medications and had him for a few more years.
Although this vet and her staff are very nice and the urinary tract infection was treated as expected, there is a serious lack of knowledge here. A heart murmur should have been identified. I chose this clinic because of how close it was to my house. Unfortunately, my cat paid the price.

This place is amazing. It was my first time, and the service was 5 stars. The nurses at the desk were all so friendly. The service was quick. i spoke to a nurse first who gave me great recommendations for food options and cleaning my yorkies ears. Meeting with the doctor, she was so friendly and you could tell she loves what she does. My Yorkie had an ear infection, the doctor gave me some medicine and it cleared up the next day!
The one thing that really surprised me is that a couple weeks later I received a personal letter written by the staff thanking me and welcoming me back anytime!
I will be back and THANK YOU THANK YOU for providing great service for my family.

Dr. Waldie-​Torres and staff were wonderful with our dog Enzo and his troublesome tooth. Her fees were affordable and more importantly the staff were loving and professional with Enzo. We loved the flexible scheduling and the level of communication was great. She’s our new Vet!

I’m under the impression that this vet does not like big dogs. I have two 50 lbs dogs that she would not touch. First dog came in with a swollen leg. She said it looked like a sports injury, gave us carprofen and sent us on our way. Came in a week later because the leg was bigger. This time she did touch the leg because she thought he might have been bitten by a snake. She found nothing and gave us antibiotics. I brought in second dog that we’ve been managing arthritis, but the dog has not walked in over a month. She never touched the dog, gave us carprofen. We never came back.
FWIW, we found out later from another vet that the bite was a wolf spider bite. It wasn’t healing quickly because he had cancer. The other dog had no cartilidge left in any joint of her legs. She would never walk again. $ 1,000s of dollars was spent on these dogs that thankfully, Palm View did not get.
I would not recommend this place if you have a dog bigger than your lap.

I cannot compliment them enough! This group is wonderful with my Pup. They are extremely professional and polite throughout the entire process from phoning in an appointment to checkout. Dr. Waldie is thorough in her explanations and very loving with her patients. We had a little issue with allergies and got in to see the doctor the same day (Awesome!). We left informed with our steps in helping our pup become itch free. Fast forward 24 hours and we are calling again as the the pup has some issues with his ears. Instead of having us come in again and wait for a check up, they offered to write out the medication for us to pick up. That is unheard of! Other vets we have seen all go through the appointment process in order to cash in that Check Up Fee.
This group is Amazing and genuine. They are not about cashing in for a profit, but actually treating and caring for your beloved furry friends!

Communication is everything and when I look to experts to keep me informed I take that to heart. Especially when it comes to my pets. This is a very friendly establishment and agree with other review that Dr. Waldie is knowlegeable and caring.
However, I waited about 2 weeks to hear from the office on the results of tests performed on my pet. When I was told that it would take about 2 — 3 days. One knows that waiting on results can leave you with some anxiety (not their problem, I know). I strongly feel that if I never picked up the phone to contact them, I would have never received the call. When I spoke to the office there was one test pending. Low and behold another week went by and never heard from them. I called again was told «the doctor said you requested the results via email becuase you were going to be out of town» WHAT??? Who said that? Not ME. I just remained calm got my results and here I am.
Now, am wondering if they even performed the test as my dogs health seems to be declining yet they were all negative. Sorry, but its just the way I feel, not saying you did not perform the test.

Dr. Waldie is a very kind and knowledgeable doctor. She takes the time with you to explain the diagnosis, the possible treatments and consequences either good or bad. She does not go around the bushes as other vets do to get the most cash from you. She’s compassionate and truly cares for your pet.
I took my dog to her for treatment after Banfiel made so many mistakes with my dog (please see my review on Banfiel, Pembroke Pines). My dog just loved her (super dog like she used to call her). My dog eventually passed away due to the complications of an illness Banfiel could’ve treat. I wish I could have find her sooner. She was so kind to send me a card to express her condolecencs. I recommend Dr. Waldie to everyone that asks me for a Vet. Thank you doctor Waldie to make the last days of my dog a little bit more worthy.
The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of her receptionist/​assistant Ashley. She would never call me back for anything even though the diagnosis or medications were ready. Every time I called her for an update, she used to tell me «I was just going to call you» even though it was 1 day or 2 after promised and things were ready, that happened ALL THE TIME. It was truly an unpleasant experience to work with her. In my opinion it makes DR. Waldie’s reputation to look bad even though SHE’S A GREAT DOCTOR; the front desk’s representation was very unprofessional and like people say the «first impression counts!»

I just want to bring to people’s attention the unfortunate event on Monday 27 Feb when I took a cat to get neutered to Palm View Animal hospital located at 12 120 Miramar Pkwy, Broward County, I had been a trapper for 10 years and never this had ever happened to me, I went to pick up the cat on the trap and the soonest I got out the door, the cat scape thru the trap come to find out the trap had the back door open and the cat scaped, this cat belong to one of my clients, I am a pet sitter, had live on her backyard since he was borned, and now is lost, confused, scared and hungry, we can not find him, parking lot is very big, the worst come when the Dr. is the one negligent of not closing the cage and, they are not looking for him, doing absolutely nothing to find him, apologizing does not cut it, I am going 2 to 3 times a day to look around at all hours and there is no sight of him, the owner is devastated. This was not an accident and this clinic is not busy… I will think twice before taking my pet to this Dr. if something so simple as making sure the cage is sealed to protect the pet anything else can be negligent like surgery or maybe a wrong treatment

Dr. Waldie and her staff is truly wonderful and very kind. I took my dog in for an abdominal illness (diarrhea) and the clinic was able to accommodate a last minute appointment. The clinic is new so of course everything is brand new and looks very well decorated for a veterinary clinic. Looks like a fancy high end vet clinic for wealthy individuals. Their prices are very reasonable especially for the exceptional service they provide. Dr. Waldie takes her time to explain the diagnosis, treatment options and plan. The clinic also has very good follow-​up.
I have two corgis that are very precious to me. They get into trouble all the time and having a very reliable and trusting veterinarian is very important for me. I am very happy I found Dr. Waldie.

I’m so happy I found this place!!! They just opened up I think less than a month ago and I’m so impressed by the staff, the facility and the treatment Scooters got.
I took her there for her annual visit and also to get her affiliated with a local vet (since we recently moved). From the moment I arrived, it was a pleasurable experience. I was greeted immediately and the waiting room was clean. After going inside, the vet tech was warm and very loving towards Scooters. She gave her a lot of attention and calmed her down from all of the excitement. We went over her health history and what shots she was needing to get during this visit. After that the Vet came into the room. She was absolutely wonderful. Lovely person and great with animals. They ended up taking Scooters to the back to get some samples and what not. My dog is such a wimp wen it comes to shots but she didn’t even flinch or Unilocal.She got a treat afterwards which she scarfed down. My pup was treated with respect and so was I. I’m very pleased with the service and am looking forward to returning for any other needs Scooters has.
