Cool spot that was very well put together. Got the steamed snapper and smoothie both were really good. Awesome looking menu I will be back.

The owner, Maxwell, is wonderful and we really enjoyed our Fruitaroos smoothie and kidney love juice. We’ll definitely go back to try his snapper and conch soup!

My Girlfriend and I we’re very happy to stumble across this gem of a spot on Pembroke Rd. At first take we noticed how tastefully decorated the place was. The bamboo seats, candle lighting and fresh produce smell give off a very island feel. The attention to detail was obvious from the neatly written chalk board menus to the Albert Einstein quote on the wall, the super clean bathroom, to the full chessboard table to the pocketbook hooks placed conveniently underneath the bar top.
We decided to have a seat at the bar and first ordered the Kidney Luv juice (Beets, Lemon, Cucumber) $ 6. EVERYTHING ORGANIC! The bartender was a very pretty young lady who wasted no time making my juice fresh right in front of me. She even through some ginger in there as a last second request. The juice was fresh and delicious. Shortly after one of the owners, Bobby, came over to talk to us. He was very welcoming and told us about all of their special events. Monday’s and Thursday’s are open mic poetry nights. Sundays were Reggae «good vibes» night. And Fortunately for us it was Saturday, Kareoke night.
After the juice we ordered conch fritters, and the snapper. The fresh made Rum Punch also caught our eye so we decided to have a glass of that too. It was tasty and STRONG! We also added an order of the conch soup (recommended by the owner). Everything was delicious!!! The conch fritters were fresh with a tasty dipping sauce. The soup was too die for (People came in all night to order takeout soups). The snapper was cooked to perfection. Served with mixed vegetables inside of the whole snapper, a baked sweet potato on the side and orange slices all steamed together in foil. My girlfriend who NEVER eats fish, stole about half of my snapper because it was so good. It was a healthy portion and just enough to fill us up without over stuffing us.
Right when we finished the kareoke was starting up. The kareoke guy had a great setup and the place provided an excellent sound system. A small stage with a spotlight set the mood. The crowd was small at first but eventually grew to pack the room. Everyone sang! Some good, some bad, there were country songs, reggae songs, rock, old school soul… everything. It was a blast. The wireless microphone allowed for some entertaining performances throughout the night.
After performing a song the other owner, Malcolm, gave us a tour around the restaurant. To our surprise there was another bar in the back room, with its own sound system and a view to the kitchen (which is extremely clean). The backyard was also setup with some tables and another speaker set up for «plug and play» which means you can put your own music on. People were set up back there enjoying delicious hookah. We decided to have a hibiscus hookah in the back room which Malcolm set up for us while he told us all about his vision for the restaurant.
Overall me and my girlfriend LOVED this place. We will definitely be back. We loved to see a small local business with so much to offer. We highly recommend Coocaaroos for great vibes and fresh organic tasty food and drink.

Awesome place! Great vibes, fresh and natural food. I am not even into the healthy life I always prefer a good burger, but this place gave me a new appreciation for having a healthy conscious appetite. And if you are not hungry the juice is delicious. I highly recommend their conch soup, conch fritters, and any fresh juice !!! Also they have themed nights if you’re looking for a low key spot with class and good vibes. Saturday Karaōke, Sunday Reggae, 1^st Thursday Poetry. I am definitely pleased!!! Customer service was great as well! PS clean and spell good restroom!!!

Wonderful staff and great vibes. Organic food. Wholesome juices blended to perfection. A must. Not too mention there’s a full bar. Live poetry every 1^st & 3^rd Thursday. The owner personally introduced himself to my party & invited us to watch the Mayweather fight. no cover charge! !
