I have been around bikes all my life beginning with BMX racing as a kid.

Then to Huffy where I learned assembly and repair from the manufacturer (when there was no partial assembly in China). I moved to Destin in 2000 as an assembler and I began repairing bikes for a local shop on the side. He eventually moved back home and I picked up where he left off. Now I have my own repair and rental shop in the Miramar Beach area. I love what I do and I know it well, come check out my shop.

I’m sure this place is good but can only speak from my experience. Called day in advance and scheduled a paddleboard rental for 9 am the next day. Long story short, they never showed up or bothered to call until I reached out to them asking where my rental was an hour later. They told me they had nothing available for me. Had to change my plans for the day.

So far on the fence… Was told it would be an hour for delivery of bikes. It has been 2.5 so far. Called at hour two and got voice mail twice and when I finally talked to them, they said they were on the way. Will update.
Update: They showed up shortly after 2.5 hours. Delivery person very easy to work with. Bikes were in good shape and a lot of fun. Easy enough to leave bikes locked to bike rack out front for pick up. Would have appreciated some sort of discount or extension in time for the delay in delivery. Or at least a call to update me on the delay.

Thank you coastal cruisers for the perfect vacation activity! The free delivery is amazing and Shelby was so nice when she dropped them off. We loved that they came with locks so we could go in and visit our favorite places without worrying about them. The baskets were the perfect for all the beach gear and even on a windy day they were an easy comfy ride! What a great way to enjoy Miramar Beach at a great price!

This is the best place to rent a kayak! Free delivery to the Hilton Sandestin and at a competitor rate-​better than the Hilton! Initially, we called a couple of times to inquire and our calls went unanswered BUT Rosemary called us right back and got us hooked up and going within the hour! We absolutely loved kayaking. It is easy for everyone to get the hang of and we went on a Yellow Flag day and found it easily manageable!

My wife and I moved to the beautiful Emerald Coast way back in November of 2012 and researched every bike shop from Destin to Rosemary Beach to purchase our new hybrid beach bikes. We chose Coastal Cruisers bike shop because the Jamis Boss Cruiser line of bikes were rough enough to handle the woods trails, sexy enough to ride the 30A bike trails, and priced fairly for the quality bikes that they are. We have ridden these bikes several thousand miles each throughout the east coast of the US and they have held together really well, and when we had a problem, Coastal Cruisers bike shop was always there with excellent service to repair or adjust when needed.
John and Rosemary (the owners of Coastal) promised us that they would take care of us after the purchase of our bikes and they have kept their promise time and again.
If you are looking for good bikes to buy or rent, I give Coastal Cruisers my highest recommendation!

I went there looking for a used mountain bike, they didn’t have any, understandably so, there stock is mostly cruisers as the market would lend itself in the area. Anyways, John was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and willing to help me that I thought they deserved a positive review. Go there for your bike needs if in the area!

My experience with Coastal Cruisers was top notch. They were quick and responsive and showed genuine interest in my business. Their prices were reasonable, and outstanding product. Comfort, clean and well kept bike with an added bonus of a basket in front!
They delivered a good looking pink beach cruiser to our vacation beach home. This was convenient, and much appreciated. On one of my bike rides I heard some on-​lookers say– «look at her bike! She got a really cute one».
I enjoyed working with coastal cruisers. I only wish I was there longer so I could enjoy their other products!

Great customer service, Great bikes, Great price! You can’t beat this place. I checked and they were the most competitive with weekly rentals. When the bike for my daughter wasn’t a good fit, they insisted on bringing her a bike she would be more comfortable on. They really cared that we had a good time and enjoyed bike riding. I never had any issues with the bikes. The bikes were very good quality. They delivered on time with no hassles (used 7 Adult bikes, 1 tag a long, 1 small adult bike) They were easy to reach when we needed to add a bike and had any questions. Their great price includes delivery, locks, baskets, helmets, and pick up.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Excellent service and bikes. This is a great business. They work hard to make every rental a good experience, including free delivery and pickup. They made sure of that for us (5 bikes), and I watched them interact with other customers while I was in the shop. Each customer received dedicated attention to make sure they got the right equipment, accessories, etc… not just a rental transaction. We even needed to swap out a bike because my daughter didn’t like the style of the bike… No problem!
The next time we’re in Destin/​Miramar Beach, we will definitely rent bikes from coastal cruisers. In a tourist area, this business treats you like a valued customer!

Don’t bother by going anywhere else, Costal Cruisers has better quality/​new bikes, a selection of colors, great service and GREAT prices! We picked up 3 newer bikes yesterday ($ 40 a week), and had a wonderful time cycling around with our 2 small pups in the bike baskets! The scooters are literally brand new too!
Just like everyone else has commented, I highly recommend renting bikes/​scooters with Coastal Cruisers because it adds wonderful memories to your trip and it’s a smart/​fun way of transportation when the traffic gets thick!

This is not the ONLY way to travel around Destin, it is only the BEST!
Coastal Cruisers rented us two awesome bikes, even had the colors we wanted!
That is super important folks cuz on cruisers everyone one looks, so you need to look cute! They had a Pink one and Yellow one at the Hilton and gave us the combos and we were off! Baskets were super useful for towels and shopping treasures.
Rosemary even gave us great areas to explore!
Seriously folks this was such a treat, and a cool method to get around without the hassle of parking and too hot cars, the breeze was so enjoyable. and EVERYONE smiles and people on Coastal Cruisers!
Rent some today, you will have so much FUN!

The folks at Coastal Cruisers know what they’re doing. We bought two new bikes and they not only made sure we got bikes that fit with what we wanted to do, they made sure the bikes fit us like gloves. In addition to adjusting the bikes and getting them ready to go, they even delivered them to our house. I also think it’s worth noting that if you’re not wanting a Wal-​Mart bike, but believe that a bike shouldn’t set you back the same amount as a used car, that Coastal Cruisers is the place to go. You won’t be pressured to buy a $ 1400 bike. We got two nice models for $ 389, a little more than Wal-​Mart, but a lot more quality, and they were serviced by someone who knows more about bikes than Lance Armstrong. I really like this place, and I really recommend it.
