Great food, friendly staff. Great place to go to listen to live music on the weekends. We go here on a fairly regular basis. Always a good time!

If I could give this place 0 stars i would. Came here one night with some friends and the service was absolutely terrible. Granted they were kind of slammed which is an excuse to be inattentive to an extent… instead they were just plain rude. The bartender, dont know her name but she looked to be about 30 was increased rude. She asked me what i wanted to drink in which during my 3 second pause she walked away and asked someone else the same thing. It took her 5 – 10 to come back. A lady sat down next to me and asked for a light beer for her husband(clearly knew nothing about beer brands) the waitress laughed at her asking her how she didnt even know what she wanted. I will never come back. Service is almost everything and it was terrible. Remember the people who walk through your doors keep you in business. You guys are awful.

I came on the night they had Cloud 9 playing. They are a awesome band. I had the potato skins… really good. I will come back and recommend it to my friends.

On the way to a high school football game, we stopped at Stooges for dinner. We had a French dip and a wrap with a side of onion rings and fries. Both of our meals were good. Service was fine.

In all honesty, this is not in my taste, but forgetting that fact to give an honest review is what I’ll do. This is a small neighborhood bar. The only reason I ventured here the few times was because my friend’s dad’s band. There is plenty of parking in the back of the building, but gets pretty muddy after some rain. The main bar is a U-shaped bar, and I’ve never had trouble being served there… in fact, I’ve gone to the bar to be served quicker than the waitresses have served us. The wait staff need a lot more training, they are slow and forgetful. The bar tenders were great… good beer specials. Although it was not my style music, it was nice to be there with a live band playing. They have plenty of tvs with every sporting event playing on them. The crowd was older…40s-50s the bathrooms were surprisingly clean. I guess all in all, its not the best, but its not the worst.

Went there last night to watch an old friend shed guitar for the Michael Tracy band. I have to give the band 5 stars and the place 3 stars. In all fairness I guess I am an old fart and this scene is not my thing anymore. But if watching live bands at bars is your thing, than I suppose you could do worse. It is a decent size place and the waitresses tend to your need pretty well. Definitely an older crowd(30’s 40’s) nice stage area. Bottom line… for the area, not abad place to swallow a drink and watch a live band.

You need to stop here. Plenty of TV’s. No draft beer. Bottles only $ 1.75. NFL Sunday Ticket. You need to do yourself a favor and stop in. Tons of parking in back so don’t be fooled by what you see out front. Staff is very friendly and fun.

While we were at Mint Hill Madness, someone stuffed my greedy little hands full of coupons for a free sandwich when you buy one at Stooge’s, and everyone knows that I’m a sucker for free stuff — especially food. Now if I can only convince my doctor that it is a good thing. Anyway, we made our way up to Stooge’s, which isn’t all that far, but we had never really noticed. It’s a decent place, but hidden a bit from most normal traffic in town. Definitely on the outskirts of what most would consider Mint Hill. Also the parking situation is a bit challenging. Once inside, however, the situation brightens considerably. Staff is friendly, service is quick and portions are hefty. The only real downside is that there is something of an identity crisis. We went by ourselves(without kids), which is a good thing, because we weren’t sure what to expect. With a name like«pub and grub», it’s bordering on kid-friendly. But they really skew to an older crowd, and are more of a bar. With food. And an arcade. And a stage. For karaōke, I think. Definitely worth checking out, just don’t go with too many preconceived notions.
