The earlier reviews are absolutely right on the mark. Dan knows (and enjoys) his craft and we had two completely fun evenings on beautiful Lake Minnetonka. And we caught fish! It was so nice to spend this screen-​free time with my kids (17 and 13). We’re already talking about a next time with visiting family in the fall.

Had a great time fishing with Dan back in August! Caught lots of largemouth, northerns, and pan fish. He knows the best places on Lake Minnetonka, and is very helpful in sharing his tips on technique! He’s also great with kids, my 4 year old loved it!
Not only did we have a great time fishing with Dan on the lake, but 6 months after our trip, Dan donated an awesome fishing themed basket for my son’s preschool’s silent auction event. Great guy!

I have been fishing with many different guides here in Hawaii and other places. So far Dan of Jasper Guide Services has been the best. Yes I caught nice fish, but just as important to me is fishing for the day with someone pleasant. He seemed to have the right blend of instruction and patience to help bring my fishing up to the next level. I had a really good time. Highly recommended guide.

Being new to the area and hearing how good the bass fishing is at Lake Minnetonka, I searched for fishing guides and after a few email, decided to go with Dan. Dan is a great guide and I had a great day of fishing. We were catching fish in very difficult weather conditions and in locations I never thought of. His boat is very well equipped and that added to the fun as we could fish the whole lake is a short period of time.
Three firsts for me on this trip: Even though is was very windy, I caught a nice fish on a surface frog (never would have thought of that on my own), I caught a very nice musky on the same frog (my first musky) and I caught my best fish of the season to date. All in all a very nice day and I would highly recommend his services. He even offers ice fishing services during the winter.

Had a great time fishing with Dan. He took three of us out on the lake – none of us had ever ice fished before. After a few minutes of guidance, we were catching fish left and right. To top it off, Dan was a great guy. Tons of fun, highly recommended.

It was too warm sunny day for fishing last weekend.
But I was able to catch lots of Largemouth, which were pretty good condition as Dan knows how to deal with that situation.
His boat and rigs were perfect for me to make my day.

I never new ice fishing could be so fun. As a first timer, Dan showed me the ropes to catch a fish and the peak times to do so. Dan had all the ice fishing gadgets. Who knew you could actually watch what was happening below the water. By the end of the day, I felt no longer a rookie, leaving the ice with no one, but THREE fish! I highly recommend Jasper Guide Services for your next fishing occasion.
