Non-​competitive dance classes for kids ages 2 – 12. Our unique Dancercise Kids introductory jazz, tap, ballet, fitness and creative movements curriculum — fun for boys and girls ages 2 – 7; advanced dance classes in Jazz, tap, hip-​hop and ballet kids ages 3 – 12; Musical theater classes for kids ages 5 – 12. Programs are delivered at our studio in Minnetonka, and our Dancercise Kids curriculum is delivered to pre-​schools and childcares across the country and beyond. Our curriculum is available to dance teachers, studios, fitness centers and child care centers for purchase, and we also provide an extensive range of great kids’ music.

History

Established in 1987.

Founded in 1987, Dancercise Kids has been offering unique, entertaining and educational dance and fitness classes to kids in Minnesota and Illinois for over 20 years. More recently, its curriculum has been packaged and licensed to dance teachers and studios from Mississippi to Malaysia. Founder Tessa Pfeifer has just released her first CD, Dance It!, available commercially, and the business is growing into a diverse set of offerings around keeping kids fit and healthy.

Business Owner

Tessa has been dancing and singing since she was old enough to walk and talk. She started Dancercise Kids when she was just 17, and has developed a unique, entertaining and highly educational curriculum that aims to help boys and girls develop their physical and creative skills, and healthy habits that will last a lifetime. As a performer, Tessa has written and recorded some original and compelling music that parents love as much as the kids, and is currently working on different ways to bring Dancercise Kids into your home.
