Christian Heart Counseling

I do not base this on the fact that this is a Christian counselor. In fact, that is what I was looking for. I have had a similar experience with Brian (Perhaps other counselors are better?) He was inattentive, began sessions 15 – 20 minutes late, and would often attend to other matters during a session. He took a call from his wife («she’s having car issues») and used our session time to talk about himself (items not relevant to healing– i.e. his personal life) If you ate hurting, or want to have therapy that addresses the problems, I would suggest you look elsewhere

DISCLAIMER— for those people out there who don’t believe in the healing power of Christ, a portion of this post may not be your cup of tea.
Secondly… some people may be turned off by even the word «counseling» or «therapy». But let me tell you… Brian Nelson (licensed psychologist) and Christian Heart Counseling has absolutely changed my life and my marriage. To choose to go to therapy, you usually have to admit that there’s a problem. Brian showed us that we are not bound by the decisions of our past… and along with the Holy Spirit and our open-​ness… we are renewed daily, by shedding our former identity and continually being healed and re-​centered together, as partners, by our incredible God.
There is no judgement, it’s a nurturing environment for growth, Brian is down to earth, and deals with many problems through the gift of humor. The spirit of the Lord was present in our thoughts and even blessed us with visions to encourage one another… Prayer, communication, empathy, assertiveness, respect, love, selfless-​ness are all powerful tools…
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come!
