More of a 3.5 for me, but I’m sure my kid would give it a million stars.
Are you entertaining kids between the ages of roughly 7 – 10? JACKPOT. Outside of that age range… well maybe. We were there for an 8 year old birthday. The hosts decided wisely not to buy a package and instead invite just a small group and order food off the menu. The pizza was surprisingly good. They sell wine and beer! If it rains, outside stuff is done for the day.
Our group lasted three hours happily doing with 40 point cards, the climbing area, the ropes course, the bumper cars, and laser tag. We didnt bowl or do the zombie room. Or go outside.

They kid who took my order — couldn’t recommend anything he said he hadn’t eaten much. So I ordered the buff chicken salad and a pretzel. The salad was good nothing to complain about. The cheese that came with the pretzel was nasty and got super thick and hard right away So it was useless after a while. I wanted a shake and they weren’t able accommodate per the kid who took my order that wasn’t super helpful so that which was disappointing.
We were there for a paint nite, the too was good but the music outside was pretty dominant over the music the instructor was playing. The room was stuffy and warm and when asked to turn the air on it was blasted so jackets and sweaters were needed. Not super impressed with either the paint nite or the establishment.

Too loud, unruly kids, pricey though the 5.00 meal deal was fair even though the drink was a thimble. Too loud too loud.
My toddler would have enjoyed the climbing activity if the big kids weren’t so rough.
It’s an ok place to check out. Geared more towards older kids. Not a place to go to often. Did I mention way too loud? :-)

This review is for the event sign up process, not the venue itself. The website collects excess information under false pretenses, such as asking for your full home address and personal phone number under the guise of «billing address» (even though credit card companies do not require a full address or phone number for verification, only the billing zip code). It also makes a default choice on your behalf to receive «updates» from the company (what a lame euphemism for spam, ugh). I really don’t appreciate being hustled when I am just trying to sign up for a event.

We signed up for the «Trapped in a Room with a Zombie» Escape Room Experience. Even though we tried to get friends to sign up with us, not many could make it and we left a 6pm Friday night to chance, as to who would be in the zombie room with us. Turns out, we (3 thirty something yr old adults) were going into the zombie lair with a bunch of 10 year olds…
The concept, overall, was very clever. We solved puzzles, got chased by a zombie, and found the clues. However, when your team mates are 10, there is only so far you can make it in the puzzle. It would have been really wonderful if Big Thrill Factory would create some 21+ or 18+ time slots, or have warned us that we were a part of a pre-​teen birthday party.
And it should be mentioned that the rest of the facility would be the prime setting for said birthday party. This is a kids dream come true with ropes course, laser tag, jungle gym, arcade, etc. However, it is NOT date night!

We went here because we had coupons for the Trapped With a Zombie Puzzle room. The experience was maddening. We had 6 in our party, and we were merged with another party of 8, so there were 14 of us (12 is supposed to be the maximum but Oh Well seemed to be the attitude). When we were led into the tiny room, it was immediately apparent there were too many people. Even 12 would have been too many! Besides the overcrowding, the music is on FULL BLAST — so much for communicating to try and solve the puzzle. You simply couldn’t talk things through effectively with the crowding and the incessant noise. Seriously, couldn’t you forego a few bucks and have less crowding to actually make it more enjoyable? Would it kill you to put a roof on the room to keep out some of the noise from the rest of the building? As others have said, many people simply gave up trying to be heard and spent their time in the corner avoiding the zombie. If we had paid full price we would have asked for our money back. We have done other puzzle rooms and loved them and recommend them to others. Not this one — save your $ 28. Also, we ate lunch there — what we had was mostly good, especially the sliders, but the menu us very limited. Also, some of the arcade games didn’t seem to work right.

My son had a birthday party here last weekend, and we figured all the kids would have a good time. I was impressed, however, with the attentiveness of the staff and how everything was in order the entire time we were there. We’ve been to plenty of party places like BTF, and none were as organized, which is quite a feat for nine 7-​year-​old boys…

Food was decent. Fair priced in comparison to other similar facilities. Fun laser tag. The down side was the unsupervised older children with foul mouths that would push around the younger children. The staff did nothing to intervene and having to scold and monitor other peoples snotty kids sullied the experience. This used to be a preferred experience for our family but we will not be returning.

We came to Big Thrill Factory (BTF) specifically to be «Trapped in a Room With a Zombie» by Escape Room Adventures (who apparently franchises the zombie room concept to places like BTF). I’ll say up front the experience was amazing and absolutely worth doing once. That said, I wasn’t impressed with the rest of the BTF facility.
When we arrived at BTF it wasn’t entirely clear where we should go or what we should do, so we lined up at their front counter and waited for the one guy who had his hands overfull helping the large family at the counter. And waited. And waited some more. About ten minutes in, with no movement in line and nobody coming to assist this poor counter guy, one of our friends informed us that we didn’t need to wait because we purchased tickets for the zombie room online. Quietly wishing this poor guy good luck, we wandered in.
Big Thrill Factory, at first glance, looks impressive. There’s a floor-​to-​ceiling play area/​ball pit/​jungle gym complex down one side of the place, a few skill/​carnival game machines spread around, and a long kitchen/​café along the other side. Once we had a chance to actually look around and see the place, the sheen wore away. It’s like that feeling you get, growing up, when the Chuck-​E-​Cheese animatronic band stops feeling like an amazing rock show and you realize they’re all just clunky robots with limited range and an audible hiss every time that damn bird pops out of the barrel. The magic faded too quickly and the place seemed shallow.
Or maybe that’s just me being old and crotchety, I’m sure kids love the place.
So back to the zombie room! An attendant met us outside the room entrance about ten minutes prior to event start and had us all sign the «if I maim or kill myself escaping from a zombie it’s my own damn fault» waiver. The attendant then walked us in to a cramped foyer and talked through the rules of the room, explaining the strained premise which led to us being trapped in said room with said zombie.
Our challenge only had ten participants of the possible twelve for which Escape Room Adventures sells tickets, but even when we were let into the room itself our feeling of being cramped didn’t go away. There wasn’t space for the ten of us to actively participate, and I have to imagine that a full room of twelve participants would be not just trying but completely frustrating. Throughout the hour folks were banging into each other, and some folks appeared to find it easer to just huddle in a corner than take part because there wasn’t space.
Beyond the too-​small room, when one is escaping from a lunging zombie in cramped quarters little things like taking care not to handle a book too roughly or avoid banging into furniture go out the window. Some of the clue components and pretty much all of the furniture were in poor shape, which led to consternation when we needed to try solving a challenge more than once due to the condition of components. We were also uncomfortably warm in the small and poorly-​ventilated room; I guess that could be passed off as adding to the tension of the situation, but I’d rather not feel swampy when avoiding the undead.
I won’t spoil the room by giving away the puzzles, but one of our friends who has done other escape rooms indicated that while the puzzles were less mentally challenging the ‘live’ zombie lunging at participants made the experience exciting and fun.
Overall I’m happy we participated (and escaped!) and recommend that everyone be «Trapped in a Room With a Zombie» once, but unless Big Thrill Factory and Escape Room Adventures completely remodel the room with different puzzles (and a larger room, please!) we don’t have any reason to go back.

Me and my wife and 6 – 5 kids went there to go to the trampolin because it’s outside and it was a nice day. The slide and tranpolin are charge separate. Everything the kids do its charge separate. And you can only do it once or for small amount of time. Unless you buy the unlimited wrist band which are limited time. It seems like they are charging way to much for little things to do unless you get their expensive bands and yeah if you get a a regular de soda no free refills. This place is like a desperate to make money chukie cheese.

Big Thrill Factory is great place for all ages. They have a large range of entertainment from trampolines, bowling, mini-​golf, to laser tag and arcade games and much more. I met a couple of friends there for a round of mini golf to celebrate my 25^th birthday! Mostly geared towards younger kids but there is something there for everyone!

We had a company party here and it was fantastic. I organized the entire thing for about 100 people with the help of one of the staff members, Nicole. She was great! She was very helpful and always followed up with a call or email when she said she would. The whole thing was very organized and we had no issues. Tha manager there that night, Diane was also very helpful and accommodating for our large group. The other staff helping us were great, very polite and on task. The activites offered were perfect for our group. We had ages 1 to 60 and everywhere in between and everyone had a blast. THANK YOU Big Thrill Factory for making this event a successful one!

Awesome place, great food, staff is helpful and wants nothing more than you to have a great time.
I have been there with just myself and my husband, with out granddaughter who is 6, she LOVES it, we also watch a little girl who just turned 3, she has a blast.
Birthday parties are awesome…

It was a cold boring Saturday at work, when my 10 year old text and asked if we could go bowling. After checking around the area for some bowling options, I settled on The Big Thrill Factory, and invited my friend and his son along. On Saturdays they have three hours of unlimited bowling, laser tag and the time challenges for $ 15 per person, which was a nice price.
Once we had paid and were all set to bowl, we realized that all of the lanes (only 8) were booked and there was a wait list. We opted for laser tag first which the kiddos enjoyed. After laser tag they were anxious to bowl, same story — wait listed. So I spoke with the attendant who said she had felt bad that they were only able to do one thing in an hour (due to the lines for laser tag) and she allowed a pass to also use the Kids’ Fun Factory. It felt great that despite the rules of the package we purchased, they were accommodating. The kids (3 boys — 5, 6, and 10) were occupied in there for two hours. During this time, we got a chance to talk and it was loud at times in there, but it really wasn’t too loud to hold a conversation. Which allowed me a chance to get to know him better and made me realize maybe this could lead to many other playdates or otherwise in the future :)
Overall it was a great 3 hours at BTF and had a great time with our first experience, and we will definitely be going back!

A group of 8 of us went to the «Trapped in a room with a Zombie». It was one of the most fun things we have ever done. It was organized very well and the zombie and the coordinator were fantastic! I would highly recommend this for a group of friends or team building!

All I knew was that date night was going to be a surprise. I wasn’t too worried, because I knew that she had invited a couple of friends, so it wasn’t going to be anything shocking. No swing clubs or skydiving.
The place is mostly geared to kids. They have a small-​ish arcade, a 10-​lane bowling alley, mini-​golf, some jungle-​gym thing that would hurt my knees, and a giant trampoline. They also have a zombie puzzle that give you an hour to solve the puzzle or die. I’m assuming it’s a metaphorical death, but if not, that’s motivation. Next to that is the rope course, bumper cars, and the highlight of our evening, laser tag.
We played a couple of rounds of tag. You get a funky light-​up vest with a gun attached. One team goes in first, followed by the other team in about a minute. You get points for shooting your opponents, shooting accurately, and shooting these little targets up on the wall.
If you’re going for date night, I strongly recommend going late. Unfortunately, they are only open until 11. If you go early, you stand a good chance of playing laser tag with a bunch of 10 year old s***s who will follow you around constantly shooting you, so the second your vest reactivates, you’re dead. If they aren’t there, the game is a blast.
They also serve beer.

This is a great birthday party venue. My daughter and her friends had a blast and the staff was great. I plan on bringing her just for fun and we want to try the bowling next time. I like that they have food and drinks for kids and adults.
A little pricey but worth it.

This place is a disaster. I wouldn’t go back there if it was free. Staff standing around doing nothing, the bowling lanes and bumpers didn’t work correctly. My husband walked up to what looked like a small bar area to ask for a glass of water for my 8 year old son and the manager says to him ‘There is nobody working this area’ before he went and punched out, then high-​fives his employees before he leaves. Save your money and save the frustration!

The games and entertainment are very expensive. But the mac and cheese is delicious, baked, gooey and cheesy. Would I go back? Probably not. I can’t afford to spend that much on a family night out. The place was pretty empty. Food is counter service. Salad was sub-​par. My kids are 3 and 5 and could really only do the adventure indoor play area.
