Trapped Puzzle Rooms

Perfect for a date night. Puzzles were challenging, but not frustrating. If you’ve never done an escape room before, do this one. If you have, do this one.

Fantastic! Our family had a great time. This is the second place we’ve been to for puzzle rooms and this was much better than the other place we went to. The puzzle was clever, the hints were helpful without being giveaways, and the pace of the hints was spot on so that we were able to finish right at the end of our hour. We look forward to doing the other two rooms.

This is truly an experience everyone should enjoy at least once. We are always looking for interesting activities in MN and this did the trick! I won’t spoil anything but just be ready to think outside of the box. Their service is excellent. Jamie (the owner I presume) responded instantly to my emails. Good customer service like that rarely exists in this day and age.

I recently locked six teenagers in the ‘Library’ trapped puzzle room. What can I say? It felt good locking them in a room and being on the outside, where I could watch them explore the room on surveillance cameras and listen to them solve puzzles. It was a great way to celebrate a 16^th birthday with a group of teens. It kept them busy for nearly an hour — and everyone that attended was anxious to return and try other rooms.
Puzzle room workers were friendly and helpful. They kept participants on-​task by providing clues and nudging them along, as needed.

Tons of fun! It was the perfect combination of challenging without being overly complicated. We finished in 37 minutes in the library. I highly recommend it for any group.

Let me preface this by saying I love puzzles — jigsaw, su doku, all of ‘em. I even spent a lot of time doing iPhone app escape room challenges. So when a real escape room popped up on my radar via living social, I was like «Was this created just for me??» It was super fun — my friends and I had a blast and definitely felt challenged. I was expecting codes, riddles, etc — more direct problem solving like in my iPhone games, but some hints were really subtle, which made it all the more rewarding when someone — definitely not always me — figured it out. I would love to go back to try (and dominate) another escape room. I would also like to add its in a prime location for grabbing food or a drink before/​after — it’s surrounded by an abundance of tasty establishments.
My only qualms — I do wish the place had been slightly cleaner — it was a bit dusty. And I wasn’t prepared to be in a big group with strangers — we still had loads of fun, of course, but it wasnt made obvious to anyone (including the strangers) that we would be in a larger group than those we bought tickets with directly. I wish that was clear when I booked. It might actually be nice if there were options for booking as a private group (sorry if you do and I just missed it). Regardless, I will totally be back!

What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon that is rainy. We went with a group of friends for the one hour exploring experience it was a great time exploring through the room figuring out the clues to find your way out. I would recommend going with people you know

We went to the puzzle rooms with my family and had a great time. We were in the library room and finished it :) woo hoo! Clues were very good and the room was nicely done. Set design was also well done … Proprietor seemed to genuinely care about making it a good experience. He explained everything well and was very organized.
A great challenging activity for a family or group of friends!

Me and four friends (all puzzle room vets) had a great time doing the Library this afternoon. The puzzles were well designed, the room was beautifully furnished, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you’ve been to Escape MSP it’s a comparable level of skill, just a slightly smaller scale so smaller groups work well.
Like other puzzle rooms, there is the risk of having people added to your group if you don’t book up the slot — try for an early or late time if you want to try to avoid this. And we will definitely be coming back to try the Apartment!

Had a blast playing through The Apartment with 8 friends. Clever and challenging puzzles, and conveniently right near Uptown, so we could debrief over a drink. Highly recommended — will be coming back to play through The Library!

So much fun! We went as a family of 5, with kids age 15 – 19, and it was super challenging and super fun when we solved the puzzles. I’m thinking this would be a great place to take my work team.
