Dr’s are good but the front desk service is absolutely horrible. I was on hold for 15 minutes, hung up called back and they refused to call me back. They cannot bill correctly either as the insurance company keeps gettiing incorect policies. be looking for other clinics.

Unfortunately my experience at this clinic after my awesome NP left was not so great. After she left and I had no PCP, I had gone to another clinic I was referred to after a hospital stay, since they wanted me to have a primary doctor for follow up care. I didn’t find anyone I was happy with, so after another hospital visit I decided to go back to Southside to see if I could find a new primary care provider who was as helpful as the last one there. I was assigned to a new provider. She did not help me and would not prescribe the medications I needed, and had previously been prescribed at the clinic, essentially telling me by her actions that she did not want to be my new primary care provider. That’s fine with me, I had just been hoping I would find another good experience here.

To address the previous review: This is what you get in a society that doesn’t take care of it’s citizens’ health care. Underfunded, understaffed, undertrained clinics, that are closed on the weekends. That’s only for lower income citizens. If you’re affluent, you get the best of the best. That being said, I think the folks at Southside Community Clinic do a fantastic job with the resources they’re given. I believe that the doctors volunteer their time at the clinic, and the desk staff have always been courteous and efficient. It’s health care for poor people. What do you expect from a society like ours?
