History
Established in 1995.
Shorty was a Jack Russell Terrier, and we started in an upstairs office space in Long Lake, MN. The initial flare was that of The Southwest. Louise Otten opened the shop with a very Native American Flavor, specializing in Beaded work, amazing bronze statues, Mica lamps made of authentic copper, wonderful sterling concho belts, and beautiful black and white photography from artist Ross Hall, from Sandpoint, Idaho.
Nancy Sherman joined partnership in late 1999, and decided to try a «mobile store», a boutique on wheels so to speak. Not having any retail experience, but knew many and loved to drive, bought a big truck and trailer, built it out like a store, and headed out on the road, many roads to be exact. The mobile shop was set up weekly at Equestrian Show Jumping events from California to The Hamptons in New York. The brick and mortar store was opened in St. Louis Park in May of 2006. The mobile store is still on the road a couple times a month from January to October.
