Guy at the counter was super helpful. Even let me try a little tea. Service was fast and helpful.
The tea was great. I had something very basic (cold milk tea with boba) and it was done well.

A lot of unique and tasty options here.
Good setting to get work done.
Natural light.
Art on wall rotates.
Good vibe.

Parking is a little bit difficult at weekends. The street parking is very busy, you may drive around to find parking or parking in the neighborhood behind the shop.
I think the staff is super friendly. Service is fast, plus free wifi. Good place for casual hang out with buddies.
I order iced green tea with wintermelon and pearls. In my opinion, it is too sweet and sugary.

Drinks: Tons and tons of tea options and methods of preparation, from cold to hot and bubble teas too. Have you pick from herbal to caffeinated. You can build your own or try one of their signature teas. I opted for a hot flavored green tea, which was average in taste, but nothing spectacular. I expected loose leaf tea, but they served it from a previously brewed dispenser. My tea was lukewarm, far from hot, which is the only way I like my tea. Maybe their bubble teas are better, but I just needed hot tea in my system after a long day of walking and eating processed foods.
Ambiance: Calm, clean and cozy environment, definitely a good place to study or meet with a friend for coffee. Don’t miss out on the epic Prince mural behind the café, definitely a must see in the city.
Price: Average price that mirrors quality.
Service: Quick and kind service.
Overall: Average tasting tea with a fair price, the environment is probably the coolest part, really cozy and peaceful place to rest.

It’s a great place for studying. It’s best to go during weekdays, mid-​morning; it can get pretty loud on weekends.

We stopped here on our way out of the cities to grab a drink for our travels out of town. This location is quite larger than any other Sencha I’ve been in. Our drinks were made quickly and correctly, and with the perfect amount of ice. The drinks we got were so good that we ordered an extra to take for our trip. For a refreshing summer drink get their Island Iced Tea with strawberry jellies. This place is great, I wish my hometown had one!

I came to Minnesota for the Beyoncé world tour and stopped here before coming back home. This Sencha is by far hands down the best one I’ve been too. The staff was so helpful, and nice. Compared to the one in Madison the size of this one is 3 times bigger. Great place :) Definitely try the island tea with strawberry jellies.

Wonderful place to relax and catch up with friends or meetings. Very clean and great ambiance.

Great selection of teas. Monica was wonderful. She took her time to explain all the different flavor and benefits of the different teas and tea lattes. She was great. Free samples of jellies, something I’ve never heard of. They have a tea catalog. Tea accessories and cups for sale. Snacks, mints and tea flavored lip balm. Tea pots and defusers. Great alternative to the high prices at Teavanna. :)

I love Sencha, they have a lot of options and a nice atmosphere. I really like their rebrand as well!
I highly recommend the Royal Tea Latte in any form, though I usually get it iced! They recently added the option of selecting your sweetness level, which I think is great!

I used to go to the Tea Garden occasionally before they changed their name to Sencha. It’s still very good and service is always great! Personally I’ve only had the bubble tea that is basically a smoothie with jellies or tapioca bubbles at the bottom. Try the passion fruit and mango combo, amazing!
The only downside to Sencha are the prices. They’re not ridiculous, but high enough to drop this review to four stars.
I will still be going and getting bubble tea every once in a while though, because it really is very good and sometimes worth the money, as it is much better than a lot of bubble tea places and the atmosphere is very nice to sit and hang out in for a while.

Bubble teas are very good, like that they have an option without cream. When we walked in it was very hot. Kind of uncomfortably hot. Most likely from all the tea pots. Cute little spot to hang out.

It’s good tea, but please amp up the customer service. The girl working tonight had a disgusting attitude– if you don’t like your job and don’t remember orders, quit!
Update: still the same horrible customer service. The drinks (shakes) degraded in flavor as well. Sigh– really need to hire new individuals who know how to «put customers first»!

Oh yea. It’s been awhile. But life ups and downs happens and well I can’t Unilocal then ah! This is the run of the mill boba shop. We have yet to get a really really stellar one in Minne. Hope that happens soon! Well bubble bubble:

I won’t go out of my way or even in my way here. Will have if someone offers me some, maybe?

It is super convenient to me to go here, so I tried it out. I’ve LOVED boba forever, even before people thought it was ‘cool’. Now everyone is trying to be trendy and drink it, but it’s fine because it’s actually pretty yummy. :) I always order something along the lines of coconut lychee, and my blended drink with pearls was good!
Besides the drinks, the employees here aren’t very friendly most of the time. The man behind the counter when I went last was actually one of the friendliest ones I’ve had! It was pretty busy when I went last, and he handled it super well, but there was another girl working who was clearly irritated how busy and backed up it was getting. She even snapped at people waiting in line saying the wait was long and to be patient. Maybe it’s just my experience with not so friendly employees here, but hopefully this gets better!

Watered down drinks since the new switch over and new amateur staff. They redid the décor so it looks a little better now but not by much.

I usually ask for my drinks with no ice because as I drink, it seems like the drink gets watered down with all the ice they add. So now that their drinks already seemed watered down WITHOUT ice, imagine what it would be like WITH ice?! Anyways, so I asked for no ice and GUESS WHAT! The drink was about an inch from reaching the top. Like really??? This has NEVER happened before when it was still «Tea Garden». So I guess the switch meant they switched to STINGY TO THE MAX!

This place is so inconsistent with everything! From their drinks to their customer service. I should of trusted my gut and not wasted my money. Whoever owns this place really needs to look after their employees. It’s just a hot mess here. Everything is everywhere and it just looks so unorganized and dirty.
I ordered 4 drinks and none of them were made correctly! When you go up and tell the employees that they tell you, «it’s suppose to be like that». Um, really? I’ve worked as a barista. It is not suppose to be like that.
Don’t waste your time. End of story.

Good Taro Milk Tea (something I always get at tea places who offer it), no complaints. Room is spacious to hang out, and good location. Honestly there is nothing really too unique about this tea place when compared to other good tea bars. Nonetheless, it is good enough for me to come back if I walk down Hennepin Ave in the future.

I was always faithful to the Tea Garden in St Paul just because that’s the first one I ever been too and also they put a lot of jellies in your drink and I heard bad review about the uptown location about your drink tasting like soap?!
Well I was craving a bubble tea bad! that im like what the heck ill just try it here im not going to drive all the was to St Paul I got my fav Vanilla shake with pearls and coffee jelly and it tasted so bomb super sweet just how I liked it and they gave me a lot of jelly and pearls!
So I went again yesterday ordered the same thang! and again super bomb and I felt like it was extra sweet or it was just me with my craves! and my boyfriend orders his chai tea with pearls no soap flavors here so I might just save some gas money and just go here!

They have so many flavors. Girl at the counter told me different flavors and all; she was courteous. Tea was very inexpensive.
I had Fiji Green tea with coconut flavor, it was great. Hot Tea was not that hot though or just got cold real fast even in the pot. It comes with your choice of honey or milk.
Noise level in the shop is real high but that’s not a fault of shop. Its the stupid people. Girls were talking so loud, people cannot study. So i would not consider this place again when i want to study but apart from that place is great.
