Let me start this review by saying I’m Greek and Norwegian; dark hair and pale white skin that cannot tan. Awesome.
I originally bought a Groupon like most customers have stated. I have gone to other companies with hundreds of dollars spent and absolutely zero results. I finally found a place that works really well with me. Many of these negative reviews say this place doesn’t work, period. The problem is that everyone responds differently to the lasers as it’s not a one size fits all.
Megan is absolutely fantastic; very fun, sweet, funny, and always professional. If you’re on the fence, get a Groupon — or ask about their sales; they often have a buy 2 (or 3) get 2 (or 3) treatments free which is often cheaper than the Groupon. Make an appointment, ask to see Megan, and see if it works for you.

I bought the Groupon deal and ProSkin was my first laser hair treatment ever. I found their staff to be not very welcoming and the environment itself to be rather cold. I did a total of six treatments sessions for two different areas. They have a few different machines all of which are rather painful. I thought my technician did not do a good job of putting me with the machine that I informed her was less painful. My treatment times were allotted for 30 minute session but the actual treatment was 10 to 15 minutes if not less. It is frustrating to work with the technician who takes such little time with the treatments and what she does for a living and then expects to be tipped based off of her short and in-​personable sessions. After doing the six treatments I find them to be ineffective almost as though I have not had laser hair removal on. I have started at a different place for laser hair removal with my new technician unfortunately informing me that it was almost though I did not have the laser hair removal with the lack of results seen. This new establishment has 100% better customer service and the machines they use are far less painful. My new technician at a different establishment takes the time to educate me, provides thorough treatment sessions and makes me feel comfortable in the environment where we do our sessions. I highly do not recommend ProSkin for laser hair removal.

Do not go here! They are an okay place but you can get better and more effective service somewhere else (Groupon has more qualitative places to choose from). I have competed all my treatments and my hair keeps growing back more, I had to continue shaving and I am very upset with that. They expect you to tip every time and come Fall/​Winter season good luck trying to get an appointment! They never answer their phone, I had to leave a voicemail every time and they would call back in 48 hours.

I love it, I bought a groupon to try having laser hair treatments, I went to another place before and it didn’t work so I was. A bit worried, I had Megan and she was so professional, sweet and wonderful. She could easily read me to understand when to slow down, stop or continue on. I would highly recommend them

I purchased a groupon almost a year ago for laser hair removal for my lower legs and have had 3 sessions so far. I paid around $ 160 for the 6 session package. The actual treatment has been good, I have seen a noticeable difference in the hair growth. Scheduling appointments has not been a problem– it took about 5 weeks to get in for my first appt, but after that I have scheduled the next one as I am leaving. The location is easy to find and has easily accesible parking. The office is clean and everyone I’ve spoken to has been nice and professional.
The reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I feel their pricing/​tipping expectations are a bit misleading. When I went for my first appt, it didn’t even occur to me to tip (I have a friend who has gone to another local center where you don’t tip at all) so seeing the signs everywhere caught me off guard. I am glad the signs were there though, because I wouldn’t want to skip out on tipping someone who deserves it. The part that I felt was misleading was when I asked the person at the front counter what a normal tip would be for the 30 – 45 minute session, and she pulled out a sheet with the cost of sessions and an example of a 15%, 18%, etc tip amount. It listed a single (full price) session as somewhere in the $ 200 range ($ 220 maybe?), with a 15−20% tip equaling around $ 35 – 40 for the one session! I was shocked at that amount, but paid it because the person did a good job and I didn’t want to be cheap (I usually tip 20%+ for services).
Looking at the groupon they currently have posted, it states that the normal price of a 6 session «medium» area (which is what lower legs are considered) is $ 679. That comes out to about half of what they stated when I asked. A $ 22 tip each time (20% of the listed full price on groupon) is much more reasonable for the 30 minute sessions, and it seems a bit dishonest to me because it looks they are marking up the cost to get bigger tips.
After paying this large tip 6 times, plus the cost of the groupon, the hair removal is costing me around $ 400. I do realize this is still a decent price, but it is more money than I am comfortable spending and would not have purchased this had I known in advance. I will return for the rest of my treatments, and continue to give the full tip, but I will consider other options for my next area to be treated.
I don’t normally write reviews, but wanted to give a balanced perspective since that’s what is helpful for me when considering businesses!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Bob since he was at the previous location. The new location is only 10 minutes away from Grand and provides easier parking and a larger space. I have only done laser hair removal and have had great success in treating my under arms and full legs. Proskin also matches their groupon pricing so if you continue treatments you don’t have to but them online. Their pricing is RIDICULOUS compared to competitors. Booking appointments is a breeze, and is usually handled immediately after my service, they also email a reminder so you don’t forget. For those who complain about results, Dr. Bob was very clear that everyone responds differently. My armpits took 12 treatments but my legs only took 6. All in all I’ve done my armpits, full legs, and am working on my bikini for about 1000 bucks over the last year. I’d highly recommend!

I have been going to ProSkin since they were in their previous location on Grand Ave. The new location is further from my house but has better parking and more rooms for service.
To date I have had laser hair removal on 2 areas and am about to start a third. The technicians have been extremely nice and professional.
One of the best things about ProSkin is the pricing. I started seeing them through a Living Social deal. Not only were there no issues with the deal, but they continued to honor the pricing for additional services even though I only purchased one.
They are busy now so I have had to wait a few times and I definitely feel pressured to tip each and every time I go there thanks to the numerous signs reminding me. I tend to pay with a credit card and add the tip onto that instead of tipping each time so I hope they remember that when they see me!
I definitely recommend them!
