We had Brunch here while visiting during Fathers day and have to say my review is very mixed. As far as the food, it was really good. HUGE vegetarian selection, lots of gluten free options. I tried the mushroom eggs Benedict, which was poached eggs with a mushroom sauteed over English muffins and a hollendase sauce. It would have been AWESOME, if it were just hot. The food came out luke warm which kind of killed it for me. My wife had an egg white omelette which was also good, but luke warm. The fault may lay with my daughter because she ordered a Veg Lasagna and that came out piping hot and so did my other daughters Fire Dragon pizza, both which were really really good. As for service. Our waiter was the bar tender who was very friendly but really really slow. I think he had a lot going on and he just kept forgetting about us. He took about 20 minutes to take our order and an additional 20 to get our drinks. He did make a Watermelon/Lemonade with mint which was refreshing and tastes fresh as hell. Overall a place with really good food. I will point out that our server comp’d all our drinks, and dessert because of how long he took. It was very nice of him, but the breakfast would have tasted soooo much better and this would have been a 5 star review if the food we received had just been a proper temperature. I would still highly recommend this place for Brunch especially for people who are vegetarian or gluten free.

Great place to get some vegan pizza or hoagies! So many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Also very tasty and filled me up! Cool atmosphere and very nice staff. Had a wonderful vegan desert as well! Music was a little off. Someone else should be in charge of the aux cord. Lighting was kinda dim but nothing to get too worked up about.

Pizza Luce, where have you been all my life?! I’ve only recently tried Pizza Luce after living in Minneapolis for a year and a half. But damn, it lived up to the hype. First of all, the crust is absolute perfection. Chewy with a touch of crunch, and very flavorful. I’ve never had crust like this before, and it is a life changer. As far as topping go, I’m a big fan of the Pizza Athena, and the Baked Potato Pizza. But even just a «plain» veggie slice is bomb. I honestly haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Finally, the restaurant really is the whole package. The atmosphere is relaxing and a little romantic(pizza love is in the air). In addition, the wait staff has always been extremely cool and professional. It’s my new favorite place to take my friends from our of town. Thanks Pizza Luce for bringing stellar pizza to MPLS!

We stayed overnight in Minneapolis and saw an ad from Unilocal citing Pizza Luce. We made reservations and got in even though it was. Twins ball game. The place is cozy and friendly. It was crowded but didn’t feel crowded. Staff were excellent and courteous. We had a side salad each which were great! Then an Artichoke dip appetizer that was like nothing we have ever had at a restaurant before. This was huge and more than satisfying in itself with the home baked bread. We even took half home which is unheard of. We then had a medium pizza with mozzarella, mushrooms and caramelized onions. This was one of the tastiest pizzas I have had other than the crust on bottom could have been darker. Even that being said, it was in my top ten. Great Bloody Mary and service was excellent. Make it a date and try it, you’ll be happy you did.

I had the best lasagna in here, it was super delicious veggie one, I also half veggie pizza and half barbecue chicken pizza. They all just cost $ 30.

First things first, I’ve rarely had a bad meal here. Second, they send me fantastic coupons where I typically get a free appetizer with order of large pizza. Such a great deal! Gluten free versions are rather spendy though. $ 20 for a pizza that feeds only 2 people is kinda expensive in my book. I’ve had the artichoke dip both regular &GF versions — both are a yes. What I appreciate about Pizza Luce is the quality of their appetizers and portion size. Salads are generous and healthy for those looking for lighter meals. The spring salad was full of flavor and freshness — includes broccoli and fresh oranges — not the fake canned mandarin oranges! Service is also consistent — the Seward location parking can be a pain at times but the ambiance is nice for casual meals and even taking out of town guests.

OK, it was not good. This Pizza Luce did not live up to the reputation of the others. It started with our waiter asking us if we wanted water. We stated«yes please». There was not any ice in our glasses. The we order the Lasagna and a meatball sandwich. I like spicy, but someone poured the spice not just on our meal, but on my potato chips and pickle. Obviously this waiter did not like us. We had never met this person before. The waiter never came to check on how our meal was. When he gave us our check, he never asked if we wanted anything else or said thank you. As he walked by, he just laid the check on the table. We put the money for the total bill in the tray and left. Nope, not going back to that Pizza Luce. We have eaten at others without any issues. Actually, have had great experiences at the others.

We were regulars at Pizza Lucé and then hadn’t been there since they remodeled last summer. In the past we enjoyed excellent service as well as great pizza and salads. The timing was always good, without us having to ask. The servers would bring out salad and when we finished our salad we’d wait a few moments and then we’d have a great pizza, fresh from the oven. Yesterday, salad came almost immediately. Okay, that’s fine. Then the pizza came before we’d even had a first bite of salad. Timing aside, it didn’t taste like a fresh pizza. It tasted warmed over after they’d added our toppings. We won’t be going back.

This was one of my preferred places to eat until some new jerk was working the bar one day. Have not been back in a couple of years since then and have no plans to go back any time soon.

Terrible service, pizza was 30 minutes past due the hour and a half delivery time. If they would have been even close to on time we would have had our pizza. The fact it takes that long for a pizza to come is pretty sad. When I called after it was 20 minutes past due the time they stated, I received no apology, just a «wait longer». I would not have written a one start review if they would have tried to fix the problem. Typical Minneapolis treatment.

A great Seward food option. Late night happy hour is sweet, and their Bloody Mary bar during brunch is awesome. Thank you Pizza Luce for being in my neighborhood!

Worst customer service ever, I was asked to leave the premises without a reason after I spent money. I don’t reccomend this location.

Love this location. It’s big but stays personal. They have good booths for groups or dates and great window seating looking into franklin Ave. The staff are usually friendly but have the Luce personality to match(tattoos, bold, serious, can be funny sometimes). Food is awesome, if you haven’t try the Athena, bear, or potato pizza with Caesar salad to go with. So gooood. They have great gluten free//vegetarian options as well!

I found my way to Pizza Luce for a late-night slice. The ‘slice’ turned into an entire pie without regret. We picked the«Luce» with Italian sausage, garlic, onion, extra mozzarella on red sauce. No one was disappointed. It was the perfect way to end the evening, accompanied with friends and tap beers.

The redesign is very nice. Rotating beers, vegan and veg options, service is always good. We had the Brussel sprouts for an app and I had the mock sausage parmigiana. I usually go for the ultimate veggie, mock muffuletta, or spaghetti and veggie balls. Their new brunch options are good too, I had the verde burrito several weeks ago.

We went there simply because we got a coupon in our mailbox for buy one get one free weekend brunch. We were surprised by the quality of their non-pizza food and the price.

I absolutely love this place! The ingredients are fresh and the service is great(both in house and delivery). The price is a bit more than other pizza joints, but once you go Pizza Luce there’s no going back(trust me). I typically get the Ruby Rae, but I have tried many of the other menu items as well. The Ruby Rae is an «upside down» pizza in that the sauce is above the cheese. The pizza has a nice little kick to it because of the crushed red peppers but it’s not overwhelming. Their seasonal menu is also worth a try! Luce tends to have unique toppings(thai squash curry sauce, for example) but you won’t be disappointed.

This may come as a surprise but my love and appreciation for Pizza Luce comes not from their pizza but for their RANCH! Yes, the pizza is good. In fact it’s far better than Dominos or Pizza Hut(I recommend the buffalo chicken, add blue cheese crumbles, green onion and make sure they mix in hot sauce) BUT their ranch is what creates the true divide! If you’re a connoisseur of sauces and enjoy the dipping life… Load up. Their ranch is the nectar of the gods! Thank you.

I’ve had pizza delivered from here a few times. I have been satisfied with the quality of their food and service every time. I have yet to see a pizza place taste do so well in quality. The prices are a little higher than the average place, but for what you get versus the quality, it’s worth the extra money. Of all the pizza shops in the Twin Cities, this one ranks number one. I do not say that lightly. I’ve tried many other pizza places like Domino’s, Little Caesars, The Saloon, and others. Those other places have yet to beat Pizza Luce. The pizza I’ve ordered tastes delicious. My favorite is the sausage and pepperoni(I know, the typical). The serving sizes are so good that this can last one person two, may three meals. The delivery people have served my pizza in a timely manner, not too fast and not too slow. They have been friendly to me. I have struck a good conversation with a couple of them, and they had interesting things to say. Anytime I need pizza, I will continue checking this place out. I look forward to more fantastic pizza from them.

This location switched their entrance around in December and Moved takeout pizza to the Right side. I ordered à margarita pizza slice for myself for lunch. Very tasty and flavorful with spice and some garlic. The tomatoes tasted fresh too not canned. I ordered à cheese slice for my son who can eat after school. The only drawback is the crust on one side was 1.5″ without topping. No deal breaker. These people have great flavorable crust and do it Right. I cant wait to Try more pizzas. Please open in South Metro! Only good pizza is Red Savoy.

Gave it another try, the pizza is still 4 star worthy and the service is much better! I’d give it 4.5 stars if possible. Things definitely moved a lot faster on this trip and the staff was much friendlier.

I have to apologize to the shop and to Jim that I have not posted a review of Pizza Luce.(Sorry, I don’t know how to get that slash over the ‘e’ on my iPad). We live in the Longfellow neighborhood and we order delivery at least once a month from your shop and it is always great. The shrimp and pesto, is so good, it’s hard to explore the menu. We have had the Luce, the Athena,(with sausage), and multiple times, the Ruby Rae, all damn good pizza. The wings have been great as well, we’ve had all three sauces and I can’t really say I have a favorite, they are all really good. I also have to plug my local shop, Parkway Pizza. They make the choice of ordering pizza very difficult. Their pizza is excellent, very much like yours. If I want a standard sausage, mushroom, and black olive pizza, this is my go to place for that.

Outstanding Customer Service! From the ordering process to the interaction with the delivery person. We didn’t realize we had made an error when we ordered online and the Stewart store stepped up and delivered our order with a smile and forgiveness. Their outstanding customer service saved our business strategy meeting as we got fresh delicious food delivered with a smile. Thank You Steward Luce Pizza! You Rock!

Beers were plentiful and service was decent. We had the Athena, Bear, and some veggie/mushroom pizza. The athena was the best of the three. The bear had too much bread for my taste. Although I like my meat, it was too much meat that I found it «meh» after eating one slice. The veggie and mushroom pizza was too bland for me. I had the baked potato pizza as take out before and that was also pretty on point. Overall, the pizzas can be a bit variable. I still favor Punch Pizza over PL version probably because i like the thin crust or low carb feel. But they have a nice selection of beer and relatively large space, so I would come back again for social events.

I have a review for another Pizza Luce location on here. One of my biggest issues at that location was the service. Well, this location made up for everything that failed at the other location. The staff appears to be a really cohesive group of people. Even though it was busy, our server talked with my guest and I. I had a taste of the vegan pizza. My guest adheres to a very strict vegan diet and when she ordered this, I was thinking«hell no’. It was actually very very tasty, enough so that I would considering ordering it on my own. I got a delicious pesto turkey sandwich. The portion was big enough that I could have saved some for lunch for the next day. Sadly, I was not able to contain myself and ate the whole dang thing. I certainly have a preference for this location. I wish they would consider doing the weekend buffet here too!

I’ve been to the Seward Luce and the Downtown Luce, and I much prefer the Seward Luce. It’s a little smaller(I’d call it cozy), but the service is better in Seward. The downfall of Seward? They don’t offer weekend brunch. It’s good pizza; you can’t really go wrong, just order what you like! I went with a friend, and our server suggested splitting the toppings on a larger pizza rather than ordering two smaller pizzas which saved us a couple bucks.
