Friday night dinner club. Stopped in for some pizza. Place was clean, staff was very nice. Katie took care of us, offered many great selections. We started with a pitcher of Schells, it was like going back to the year I turned 18 and was legal! We tried their artichoke dip for an app. It was nice and garlicky and came with seasoned pizza dough wedges. Very good. We ordered two pizzas, a supreme and spicy chicken garlic. The supreme had a little bit thicker crust and excellent sausage on it. The spicy chicken had an olive oil garlic and sarache base with chicken. was really good. Next time we would double the chicken, though. Everything was really good. They also have some incredible ice cream choices for dessert. We tried the salty caramel and the Nicollet pothole. Pothole was a melting pot of chocolate goodness! I would have given 5 stars, but I prefer a little thinner crust on my pizza. Nice little place!

Excellent pizza. Good portions. Fair prices. Gluten free options. They give good portions of cheese! They seemed a bit short staffed when we first came in, but recovered nicely for good service!

I feel like updating my review. This place has seriously awesome pizza! I have been a fan ever since I lived next to the Longfellow location. Best part it is thin(ish) crust so it appeases fans of regular and thin crust. The sauce… wow! Very flavorful! My regular is their 3 topping jumbo special and do sausage(they arent lying when they say the best in MSP), pepperoni with light mozz and add goat cheese. Try their goat cheese, it is fantastic. We also get their pesto cheese bread which is fantastic! Overall this place is just downright great! I take anyone that comes from other parts of the city here from out of town and can say that I have never heard a complaint. I have only had one hoagie which was also good and never pasta so cant comment on that. Also their owner was fast to comment on an issue I had in a very respectful manor. They also take cards at the door which is awesome for forgetful people like myself.

Again… the menu items here are good. Haven’t had a bad meal yet. But here’s a short timeline: Last year, when requesting a kids menu for a four-year-old, I was told they didn’t have them. After including this fact a review, they responded by saying they do carry kids menus and that there was a mixup. Understandable. Last night while dining there, I notice the kids menu right on the table in front of my now five-year-old. I smile. Problem: it isn’t a kids menu. It looks like a kids menu printed on a single sheet of paper with a few items directly from the regular menu, at regular menu prices. I frown. Suggestion: If you decide to open a PIZZA restaurant in a neighborhood loaded with families with kids, and choose NOT to offer a kids menu, it’s a bit weird. Presenting customers with a FAKE kids menu: DELIBERATELYDECEPTIVE? c’mon guys!

Consistently awesome food, service and quality! How have I never written a review for Parkway Pizza before? They always deliver on time. The salads are large, the pasta is always hot, and their pizza is amazing! I really don’t like deep dish pizza, so their thin crust is perfect for me. Also I’ve been ordering from them pretty consistently for the last year and a half several times a month and they have never screwed up an order! I can’t say that about any other pizza place I have ever ordered from! I have only ever done delivery so I can’t say anything for the actual location.

This is a great pizza joint that I think is finally here to stay as Johnson street residents should know that there has been many turn over at this location for several years. It was packed on Friday night when I went in there for takeout. They are running their business well. I like their pizza and the online order for pickup was easy to follow. No delays when I got there. The only thing I wasn’t happy about my recent experience was that their toppings were rather scarce, or it was mainly all in the middle of the pizza compared to my first trip to this place. My Canadian bacon was difficult to find among the molten of cheese on it! I think the last time I ordered a whole and this time I ordered half and half. Also, I decided to try their wings. Well, I love how tender the meat was and the sauce was delicious but if you look at my photos, those were not wings!!! They were drummies!!! Not even a mix of both but all drummies! I was like /@”&$(;:)$&. No one messes with my wings! SO I think it was misrepresentation on their menu and I am not sure if I will be back.

I SSssOOooooo want to like this place. But sadly this is a tail of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The good is the pizza, and especially the toppings. The sausage is truly excellent, and they don’t skimp on it, or *anything* else. We ordered a sausage, mushroom, and black olive pizza, and there were 2 – 3 *large* pieces of their very good sausage on each piece, plus plenty of cheese(some places this would be extra cheese), olives, and mushrooms. Just enough of what is a solid very good sauce. The crust is meh but it’s crust, and so what really. The garlic cheese bread had plenty of cheese — again no shortage there. The bread was also meh and about 40 seconds under cooked, but still acceptable. Bonus points for what looks like a great beer selection(not purchased this trip). The bad is the service. I came in for carryout on a Tuesday at 11:00 and it took 40 minutes to get me our to go order of two pizzas and the garlic cheese bread. It was not that busy when I was waiting(saw two other customers). This is lame and for lunch, really bad. So I lost almost 2⁄3 of my lunch hour waiting for a couple of pizzas. The ugly. This is the _second_time I have waited 40 minutes for a pizza when it wasn’t busy. Not sure what the deal is, maybe they need to hire more people, raise prices and pay more, or something. Parkway will get exactly one more chance from us, but jeepers creepers, this is not pretty. Minus one star for meh-crust and under cooked bread, minus two stars for being slow. Toppings are great, and it’s cool that beer selection looks good and for Sebastian Joe’s ice cream.

We love their pizza at my house. I always get the veggie. It’s the best veggie pizza I’ve ever had and I don’t feel like my gut is holding a bowling ball when I’m done. My husband loves their meat lovers and the wings. The crust and sauce are perfection. Not too heavy, just right. Only thing is, the delivery driver we had the other night could have been a little more presentable as he was quite heavy set and wearing an obviously too small shirt which resembled a crop top with ½ his belly hanging out and hairy over his waistband. I had to block my eyes to not lose my appetite. No offense, but your employees are a representation of your company so be sure their clothing fits properly and they are presentable. Maybe get a uniform for the drivers? Doesn’t take away from the great tasting pizza though, just a tip!

I’ve been here a couple of times. I really enjoy the outdoor seating to be able to bring my dogs. The pizza is great both in store or delivered. I appreciate the online ordering as well. Best yet is that I don’t have to give my credit card info over the phone because the drivers have card readers with them when the food is delivered.

I ordered a veggie pizza last night around 10 pm. It’s supposed to be the«house favorite» but there was zero fresh veggies on it. it looked like someone just dumped a can of olives on it. I also ordered the«cheesy garlic bread» and it was a piece of Texas toast with a slice of cheese on it. Gross. Don’t waste your money on this pizza place. PIZZALUCEFOREVER

Their supreme hoagie has become a slight addiction in our household. It has the perfect combo of crispy yet chewy bread, meats and drippy yummy cheese and sauce melty-ness: just try it! The pizza is usually pretty good, although their oil and garlic sauce seems to be hit-or-miss in the flavor department. Love their homemade sausage. Would be great if they added a wider selection of appetizers to the menu. Overall, great addition to the neighborhood, and fast delivery

I generally don’t even really like pizza that much but I LOVE theirs. Their supreme pizza is SO good. I also thought it was cool that they have a lot of choices for ingredients. YUM.

This is the kind of pizza that you think about when someone mentions the venerable classic. They don’t mess around with wood fires or neapolitan pretension. Parkway makes solid, reliable pizzas with classic ingredients… Okay they do have some fun combos, too. They are friendly, welcoming and a great addition to the neighborhood. They are also a great local place in Northeast to get your hands on some delicious Sebastian Joe’s ice cream to sweeten the deal. Free delivery is the cheese on top. I’m a big fan.

I ate at Parkway on Johnson with my friend and her son. There’s a chalk wall for the kids to color, which came in handy at the mercy of a restless toddler. We split an extra large pizza between the three of us(I’m basically two people), and it was enough to fill me up. The toppings were ample and fresh and the sauce was good. The best part about it was the crust– thin with just the right amount of crisp. They use a cheese blend that isn’t extremely greasy as well. I eat a lot of pizza and am very picky, but I have to put them in the upper tier. This place is good– a decent meal for three at around $ 30 total including a pint of Sebastian Joe’s ice cream.

Initially I was a fan. Though either that was just the new car(pizza) smell or their quality has gone down, because the last 3 times I’ve had it delivered it was sub par. Soggy mess. Yes, there is lots of cheese and that is what makes it edible. Too much sauce and too little oven time. Seems to be straddling the line between a thin crust minnesotan square cut pizza and a gourmet pie but not really exceeding at either. A little less sauce(and dare I say maybe a little less cheese?) and a few more minutes in the oven would make these pizzas stand out. Food aside, the service both in house and delivery has been terrific.

Parkway Pizza is a great addition to the Audubon Neighborhood – thumbs up! My wife and I had lunch there this afternoon. The variety of pizza flavors is pretty interesting. They also have some eclectic beverage choices. I didn’t know there was such a thing as gluten free beer. If you want some, they have it. The artichoke dip appetizer rocked! The portions were generous, and the dip & bread were both flavorful. We split two lunch entrees. First, we tried the hot hoagie – spicy Italian. It was fantastic! Second, we sampled a 16″ carnivore, thin crust pizza. The pizza was very good! And we had plenty of extra to take home. Service was super friendly, efficient, and Johnny-on-the-spot. These guys deliver too – alright! We were the only ones there at 1:00 in the afternoon. I sure hope people come in to try them. Since it was slow, we had fun talking to the owner and one of the cooks about NE Minneapolis. For some reason, restaurants in this area have been hit-or-miss. I hope these guys do well. –Daddy Maxx Retro

Parkway just opened its second location right next to Sarah Jane’s bakery and I can already tell it will become one of our go-to take-out spots. We just got back from vacation and definitely the last thing on our minds after pulling in from the airport was cooking. So, it was the perfect night to give Parkway a try! They offer free delivery, so we stopped by, placed our order, finally got home, and our pizza arrived! It was super quick delivery service, especially considering the ridiculous cold tonight. For our first pie, we got half pepperoni and sausage and half tomatoes, spinach, and garlic. A big pie(maybe 16″?) was $ 19.50 for all those goodies, and we were really pleasantly surprised. The sauce has just the right amount of kick, and they grind and spice the sausage themselves every day. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are, and we are all for places that have topping options like fresh spinach and other veggies. Brownie points! They also source a lot of their produce from local farmers, so there’s a lot to love about Parkway. The crust is on the thin side, but not like crunchy paper-thin cardboard. It’s soft and chewy but also crispy on the edges, and is strong enough to hold a lot of cheesy goodness. It’s the perfect balance for my hubby and me, since I love thin crust and he loves a little more bread. Next time, we will give their house combos a try. They have Greek, BBQ, and about a dozen other creations that sound delectable. Quick tip: they don’t do slices! We thought they did, but, alas, we were sadly mistaken. They do make 10″ pies, though, so that’s a nice compromise. Also, they serve salads, pastas, and various appetizers, so even if you don’t have a hankering for pizza you’ll probably find something you like here. Parkway has done a really nice job with the old Nuff space. It’s not cozy and comfy yet, but I’m sure they’re still working on the finishing aesthetic touches. It’s nice to finally have a good local restaurant in this storefront! Welcome to the ‘hood, Parkway.

This restaurant has only been in the neighborhood for awhile so I’ve only been here once. I placed an order for takeout a couple hours early. Unfortunately, it was not ready when my husband went to pick it up. They actually didn’t even have the order so he had to wait until it was prepared. The pizza itself and cheesy toast was great. The sauce is smooth and thick and has a nice kick without being spicy. There was the perfect amount of house made sausage on the pizza. It’s americanized pizza but that’s what you want sometimes. I could see myself ordering from here again, assuming the ordering issues aren’t common. TIP: They have free delivery and coupons on their website.
