Modify Salon

Brianna has been doing my hair for over a decade now, with a little six-​year break in the middle while I lived in New York. I finally went to her brand-​new salon last night and am suddenly wondering how I survived the last few years without her!
Modify is a bright + calming little salon in the basement of a cute Lyndale Avenue home, and the turquoise floors, decorated walls, and friendly stylists (Brianna and Tammy, both formerly of Haven) make this feel like the most awesome and stylish place to get your hair done. The best thing is that there’s no one style or personality that will fit in here; Brianna (and probably Tammy, too, but I’ve never gone to her!) is a total pro and has this amazing ability to match cut and color with not only what will look good on you but also what fits your own unique style.
I’ve done every color in the book with Bri: pink highlights, red, black, then blonde (from black all in ONE DAY. This girl is ridiculously talented.), highlights, you name it. It’s basically the same story with my cuts. I have run the gamut with my styles, and Bri gets it and enhances my ideas in her awesome, way-​more-​talented-​than-​me way.
Prices are really reasonable for the quality of stylists at MODify, and you’ll want to hang out all day. There’s tea, coffee, and a foot-​massaging chair. Need I say more?! Bri and Tammy are the best, plain + simple. They offered massages (including prenatal, mamas!), facials, aromatherapy, waxing, and even tarot readings! MODify is a one-​stop shop for all things beautifying.
