History

Established in 2011.

Minnesota Nice Spice was started as a local company who wanted to give back. My sister; Lucy is an artist who is developmentally delayed. Since she started attending Interact Center for adults with disabiities in 2009, she has transformed into a self confident person who has found a great «home» in the community.

These people are often displaced in the community and Interact gives them a sense of purpose and community where they can showcase their unique talents.

I started this company to help the Interact Center become more self-​sustainable and to get the word out about what an amazing charitable organization it is.

Meet the Business Owner

Debb M.

Business Owner

Debb Masterson is a self-​proclaimed spice gypsy, naturalist and world

traveler. Being the second oldest of five in a single parent home, she

began cooking and baking at an early age learning from her grandmothers

French culinary skills. Ingredients were not plentiful, therefore

experimenting and altering recipes was a natural event in the cooking

process. Debbs favorite saying is «recipes are only suggestions… ideas to

be altered to make them personal.»

Debb began working in restaurants as a teenager and has worked in many

aspects of food service industry over the years and most recently owned

and operated a neighborhood bar and grill. In addition to her food industry

background, she has a diverse work history in the health care industry

which led to her interest in healing properties of spices & herbs. Debbs

medical background, along with her persistence and motivation also landed

her positions in medical devices sales and beverage sales.
