Absolutely horrible. Called to schedule smaller furnace repair. Woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful and said it was something they would do. Put me on hold to check on whether a permit was needed for the job because I wasn’t sure and a grumpy guy came on the line and referred me to Home Depot ‘if I just wanted to fix it myself’. Then he tried to tell me there was a trip charge when the woman I first spoke with said there wasn’t and quoted me $ 170. I told him the woman said there was no trip charge and he still quoted me $ 170. When it was clear he was not interested in the job — I said that’s fine, never mind and he said ‘well, ok fine’ and hung up. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! CUSTOMER BEWARE. Apparently if you aren’t having a big money paying job done — they aren’t interested.

I «fell off the schedule» today after arranging with the GM Brian just yesterday. This was to bid a/​c on two houses and furnace on one. After waiting 20 minutes, the receptionist spoke to him but wouldn’t tell me if he was in fact coming or not. For that, I’d have to wait «til he’s back in the office to call.» I drove all the way home from work for this appointment and needed to wait even longer for the courtesy of a blow-​off call?

Please consider heavily your decision to use this company. In good faith, a certification was requested on a boiler during the purchase process of our home. The boiler was certified. It was then seen by a Centerpoint who was at our home for another reason two months later. Centerpoint ran the same tests and red tagged it after some concern they had. We called Midland back seeking help and guidance. The tech who originally certified came back to review what Centerpoint found and admitted he made a mistake. We were hopeful that this company with a great reputation in the community would right this mistake. This was not at all the case. The owner came back to assess the situation, shared that a certification is only good for 24 hours, said nothing of the mistake. This was very strange given the fact he had apologized for the mistake over the phone earlier. His proposal to «right» the situation was a modest discount at replacing the boiler. A mistake like this could really have impacted our young family if anything had gone awry. We would have appreciated more of a customer service approach to handle the mistake.

I was having problems and our central air would not start up. Brian suggested a few things on line and suggested the saver switch could be the problem. He was exactly right. Excel replaced it and all is well and it cost me nothing. Thanks again Brian. I would recommend the company.

Recommend this company! They worked on our small condo building HVAC system a few years ago and were incredibly informative, professional, and responsive. Last summer they provided emergency service a couple times, so quick! I just called with some questions regarding a friends’ home furnace and Brian answered all my questions without hesitation. I really can’t recommend this company enough!

This was a whole house AC, furnace, humidifier and custom duct work project in our 97 year old South Minneapolis home. Plus we used Midland’s recommended abatement contractor, Bergo, for the removal of our original gravity furnace. Tom (owner) was able to come up with a sound alternative system that was able to meet our budget needs while still providing outstanding HVAC. The installer, Lonnie, was personable and knowledgeable and was given generous amounts of time to do a quality install, spending almost four full days on-​site. Electric and gas rebates for high efficiency AC and furnace were well handled by Lisa in the office. Just a quality group all round and pleasant to work with. Highly recommended.
