Madwoman Foods makes gluten-free baked goods and convenient foods. Our bread is not only gluten-free but also dairy-free, egg-free, and vegan. Many of our desserts are also casein-free (gfcf). We have cookies, cakes, pies, tea cakes, cupcakes, brownies, quiche, and specialty goodies.
We specialize in nutritious gluten-free foods making Mad Meals (spaghetti & meatballs, Swedish meatballs, beef stroganoff, turkey dinner), pizzas, family meatballs or turkey/gravy/stuffing, and pot pies. All gluten-free of course!

History
Established in 2003.
Madwoman started in 2003 making tea cakes and pizzas for wholesale distribution. One of the owners, Brendan, has Celiac Disease, an autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack itself when gluten is ingested. Gluten, being the protein in wheat, rye, and barley is in many foods.
Since gluten-free (gf) foods are mostly made from high-carbohydrate grains such as rice, finding nutritious gluten-free was difficult so the other owner, Char, decided to make healthy gf food.
To expand their product line and reduce costs to the consumer, the owners of Madwoman decided to go directly to the customer, In 2007, they opened a retail location in Southwest Minneapolis.
The current bakeshop has a variety of healthy and nutritious breads, rolls, buns, cakes, cookies, pies, meals, pizzas, and pot pies and serves soups & sandwiches daily. Along with their own product line, Madwoman Bakeshop & Foodery carries several other unique gluten-free products.
