History

Established in 1905.

Our store was started at 1400 E. Franklin Avenue in 1905 by Carl I. Lindskoog (1882 to 1955) who immigrated from Sweden in 1902. Two of Carl’s children, Donald C. Lindskoog (1917 to 2005) and Mildred Lindskoog Gause then took over the business from him. Mildred passed away in 1963. Donald continued to grow the business, until his son Richard Lindskoog took over in 1988. Donald passed away in Jan. 2005 at the age of 86. Current ownership includes John Moorhead, a long time friend of the family. The business has grown to over 20 employees working in our 4000+ square foot location on the busy downtown Minneapolis skyway system.
