Lil Sluggers is a child development program created to introduce children ages 2 – 6 to the game of baseball. Lil Sluggers classes develop important baseball skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, and base running. Developmentally appropriate equipment and games are used to teach your child the game of baseball in a fun, exciting, and positive environment.

History

Established in 2011.

Lil Sluggers Twin Cities was established in winter of 2011 by Coach Parker Ogden. Having worked with the program in Chicago (the largest Lil Sluggers program in the country) Coach Parker brought it back to his hometown, and it has been growing ever since.

Business Owner

Coach Parker was born in South Minneapolis and has been involved in baseball since he was little. He attended Southwest High School, then Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin. After graduation he moved to Chicago and worked with Lil Sluggers Chicago, where he discovered the program and his desire to bring it back home. He now lives in South Minneapolis.
