So rude. The guy behind the counter is rude, no manners, he acts as if you’re bothering him and he really doesn’t want you there at all. Tossed my ring at me said its worthless. Til i told him it is white gold, well then he took a better look at it. Didn’t offer me anything for the diamond. The sign says they need DVDs, he tells me he won’t give me anything but a quarter for them and its not worth me selling them. I told him i don’t care i don’t want them. Wtf! He doesn’t want business if i guess you don’t look the part. Total asshole, and its not the first time ive seen him in action. Iwill never shop there and as for my other white gold jewelry and diamonds… i wont be bringing them there! I got 85 for a similar ring, he gave me 20! Ass! I left there with a bad taste in my mouth and i will be spreading the word and i will NEVER return! Ill be seeing their going out of business sale sign soon! Cuz bad attitudes is bad business!

I pawned a MacBook Pro, a Bluray player, and a five-year-old TV. Got a fair amount for all. I’ll be paying off the loan on the MacBook today. Great experience with these guys … After further consideration … pawn shops are not good. Try selling the item on craigslist or ebay, since, let’s face it, you probably will not return to «bail it out.» ;-)

Terrible customer service! Just plain rude. There are better places to shop in this city.

One of the worst pawning experiences I have had. Brought a brand new item down still in the box and was quoted a price over the phone when I had called. I got down there and was offered less than half of what I was quoted over the phone. The employees were rude and the place is in an extremely sketchy area, I felt like I was going to he mugged walking into the store.

Hy’s Pawn was a great place to have my first pawning experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I feel I got a fair price for the stuff I hawked. It was a heck of a lot easier(and more lucrative!) than dealing with Criagslist for the DVD player and jewelry I wanted sell. The area is a little sketchy, so be sure you are ok with that before heading in. Be prepared for catcalls and people asking if you need any… you know… stuff. The particular day that I went, things were fine going in, but there was an ambulance and four squad cars camped outside when I was ready to leave. Wacky!
