Description

History

Established in 1934.

Haskell’s was founded by Benny & Fritzy Haskell in 1934. Benny was a prize fighter and bootlegger. While Benny was busy selling gin & whiskey, Fritzy was the 1st woman in America to import a container of wine from France. She was a real pioneer and we owe our history of fine wine to her.

Haskell’s downtown Minneapolis store was purchased by Jack Farrell in 1970. Jack has since built the company into a 13 store chain in the Twin Cities. Jack and his 4 sons continue to run the daily operations and are proud to serve Minnesota folks their adult beverage needs.

Fritzy educated Minnesota’s finest citizens about the marvelous joys of wine, cooking with wine, and how to pair wine with certain types of food. She paved the path on good customer service and we hope to continue her tradition today. We cant make the meal for you, but we can make the meal memorable.
