Wow! If you are looking for truly unique ice cream, try the pints from Froz Broz. You never know exactly what’s in store (though looking at the website would answer that question), so it’s a bit of an adventure. When I went to pick up our monthly installment of ice cream pints, they had ice cream sandwiches on offer for $ 4. The vanilla bean ice cream was Mary Poppins-​like– practically perfect in every way. The chocolate cookie was just the right flavor and as an added bonus, it was gluten free!!! Heavenly! It was so good that I forgot to even take a picture! (Shame on me.). Get yourself to this place and delight your taste buds!

I had their brown butter and cornbread ice cream and it was lovely. I love this odd invention of craft ice cream. I love everything about it. I really want to try more flavors but I wasn’t able to go to their last sale.

This place doesn’t exist and the address and map location are incorrect, so don’t try going here.

Charred Vanilla doesn’t sound that exciting to most people. I happen to love vanilla. I think it’s much better than chocolate. But this vanilla benefitted from a bit of smoke from it being charred somehow. My pint of ice cream was almost gray in color it was so loaded with real vanilla.
I previously had a special custom ice cream made as a gift for my now fiancée. It was a coconut sambol flavor. Sweet but quite hot. Too hot for me, but just right for her.
With their recent sales out of the City Food Studio in South Minneapolis, I’ve now had occasion to try about 8 flavors. They’ve all been terrific.
Froz Broz is, how we say, «spendy». But it’s worth it. First, it’s amazingly good. Second, the unique flavors gotten from top quality ingredients can’t be found anywhere else. Third, it’s a micro-​business of two guys crazy enough to make Roasted Cauliflower ice cream a thing. When they announced their Community Supported Ice Cream initiative, I couldn’t give them my money fast enough.

FrozBroz ice cream is the real deal. I tried samples of two of their flavors (Brown Butter Cornbread and Rosemary Lemon Bar), and both were fantastic.
Because they make their own ice cream base, their flavors taste stronger and fresher than a lot of other ice creams. But this also means that they can’t yet sell their ice cream legally in Minnesota until they can afford some fancy equipment that’s necessary to get licensed.
So if you like ice cream, support these guys so they can get licensed and start selling their ice cream all over the Cities.

After entering a few times, I was shocked to see I had won one of two pints of their Strawberry and Cabernet with Ground Pepper variety (I NEVER WIN ANYTHING).
I picked up my pint of ice cream and ate it immediately upon entering my home. The texture looked unbelievably creamy and was strewn with giant chunks of strawberries throughout.
The taste was as delicious as I’d been anticipating. The base is luxuriously creamy and fresh. Rich but not overwhelming. The strawberry chunks were naturally sweet. The ground pepper was indistinguishable until the end, leaving a nicely spicy but very subtle aftertaste.
I REALLY look forward to the day these Broz launch their business. Here’s why you can’t immediately run out and purchase this deliciousness right now (taken from their website):
«We have a huge passion for this ice cream we’ve created, and refuse to compromise quality for extra profit. Since we make our own ice cream base — and have many different bases that we use, we have a much more difficult path to getting the licensing require to legally bring our ice cream to market. Many ice cream makers purchase their base pre-​made, which allows them to bypass some of this licensing.
Because making our own base is crucial to the quality and breadth of flavors we create, we have no choice but to get the expensive pasteurization equipment required to get legal with „the man“.
We are currently working on raising the rest of the funds we need for this huge undertaking, but in the meantime will continue to give away two pints of our weekly flavor, and if you want to try it, you’ll just have to enter. If you’d like to pre-​purchase ice cream to help with our cause, please let us know and we can provide you with more information.
We promise that we’ll continue to make the most creative, highest quality ice cream we can, we’ll continue to support the most important people in our communities — the local farmers and local business owners.»
