This is a pretty popular chain around Minneapolis and I had time to grab a quick bite here before heading to the office visit. I got the Knife and Fork Egg Salad Sandwich which was an egg salad sandwich on a very crisp french bread, covered in provolone cheese. It was then covered with tomato slices and arugula, and I of course topped it with some pepper! The egg salad was a bit much but it was very filling and when I got back to Minneapolis, I want to try some of their other sandwiches here! What I have to say most, is that the waitstaff here is AMAZING! I left my credit card there on accident and I thought all was lost. But they kept it, returned it to me and I am forever thankful!

I agree with HBmarch K, this is a great little spot for lunch(especially if you work in the area). I’ve always been a fan of D’Amico & Sons cafes, but loved that this one was so close to the hotel we were staying at. Literally only 2 blocks away from our hotel, I believe. We both had the sandwich/salad combo — –Love, love, LOVE their cherry chicken pasta salad thingy. Mmmmm… But it was super cute that it was also located in the Mill City Museum. We walked around for a bit, and really enjoyed looking at the historical photos and such.

Great spot for lunch. I think if more people knew about this place, it would be a lot more crowded(it’s inside of the Mill City musuem). Their balsamic grilled chicken salad with strawberries, walnuts, and chevre is delicious as well as their caprese panini. Couple this with a walk around nearby Gold Medal park, and you have the perfect lunch break!

I went to Mill City Museum for a meeting recently. Aside from the conference rooms being awesome, my lunch was great as well! It is a deli-style D’amico & Sons that is quick, efficient and delicious! I had half of a chicken sandwich complete with fresh mozzarella, on an onion ciabatta bun, complimented by a delicious pasta salad. They allow you to enjoy a soup, salad or sandwich combo with no limitations. Unlike many places that have only select choices, you may chose from anything in the cooler! I went back for a mocha before returning to my meeting. Good tasting espresso and not too sweet. (P.S. All of the meal-ware is compostable!) If you work around here, please stop in. It is a better lunch than you can pack for under $ 10. You can sit in the dining area and look at the blown-off roof of the mill. Great warehouse atmosphere and good food — no excuses!
