History

Established in 1984.

The hotel opened on September 1, 1984. Since then, the hotel has been the prime location for Corporate or University business and teams/​fans visiting for football, baseball and other sports games.

Until 2012, the hotel was branded as a Holiday Inn. In 2013, the hotel rebranded as the Marriott Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown Hotel.

The hotel is managed by Wischermann Partners, Inc. and owned by Heartland Seven Corners Hotel, LLC.
