Comcast Service Center

I moved to a new location and requested my service be transferred. When I moved to the new place, a technician showed up to install the internet but said the new system needed a monitor to wire through. No one had told me this. I let the technician know I’d call back in a week when the rest of my things arrived and I set up the monitor. I also received a bill during this time which I promptly paid. When I called to schedule the second appointment, they could no longer find my account. When they finally found it, I was told that it had been cancelled and that they took my deposit because of the early cancellation. When I told them I never cancelled my account, I was told I could set up a new account for a fee. At this point, I wanted nothing more to do with Comcast. I didn’t care that they kept the deposit, I felt so free to be off of a contract! I asked if I owed them anything else, any money or equipment. They said no. Naturally, three months down the road I get a call from Comcast saying I never returned my equipment. (I also forgot to mention they sent me two routers by mistake, which I returned over a year ago). I had to fight tooth and nail to prove I didn’t have their equipment. That experience, mixed with the bills that kept mysteriously getting more expensive every few months, I know I’ll never go back. Comcast will soon go way of the taxi, the typewriter, in-​flight meals, and dial up. Good riddance Comcast. To the employees of Comcast: You can do so much better than working for this terrible company! Keep your head up, a better job will come your way. The terrible service isn’t your fault – it’s the crooks at the top rungs of the ladder!

Comcast is the worst provider of internet and cable service because they have gotten away with it – aren’t monopolies supposed to be illegal for that very reason? I pay $$$$ monthly for service that it worth $. Every time I have to call them I want to tell them that I am quitting their terrible, substandard services. On Demand works about 75% of the time; but they have started charging for most shows that I could get for free a year or two ago. I have all of the movie channels, but most of the series and movies I can get on my Netflix for $ 8 a month. And the DVR is a joke – don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being able to skip commercials, which is why I pay for it, but it’s broken SO OFTEN and they make me do all of the work – unplug the router, the cable box, reboot and call us back, and then when it’s still not working we will set up a service call in 4 days, meanwhile do I get a refund for the 4 days without TV? If any of us ran a business the way Comcast runs theirs, we would be out of business. I am looking at Unilocal to see if there are other providers of internet so I can lose Comcast completely and just get basic Cable and use my netflix for everything else.

Before moving to the Bay Area (San Francisco+), we used Comcast cable in Minneapolis. At the time, over ten years ago, they were one of two cable providers available to our South Minneapolis home.
We recently moved back to the Twin Cities and live in Whittier and wow, the Comcast service is just as bad; the on-​demand software is ludicrous and outdated. We will likely cancel and begin to use alternative streaming avenues like our AppleTV and Hulu.
Clearly, all those years of a near monopoly did not result in investment in a better product.

i had a service appointment today for 10:00 untill 2:00 they never came out!!! then they tell me 5 times we will get a tech out there within an ½ hour! never did again! now they tell me tomorrow sun. between 12&2 ! well we shall see? the order now says at the same time as this one for damn tuesday!

I went to Comcast to return our equipment, and it was fast, friendly service. When I walked in, I took a number and was terrified it would be a DMV type experience. It wasn’t! You can go to the office to pay cash, too, which I think is a great service. So anyway, I see another review that says it was a long wait, but my personal experience was fantastic.

Be ready to wait, because there is always a long line and I haven’t seen more than one window open. If you can get what you need to done via the internet or telephone do it. It is not worth your time coming here.

I went into Comcast today with a defective box. I tried calling Comcast 3 other times and was about to cancel my service because of the poor customer service on the phone. I was glad I went into this service center! With a short 2 minute wait, RaShawn greeted me with a great positive experience. He was more than happy to help me out and started a friendly conversation as well. I was able to get a new box with no questions asked and could have been out in less than 5 minutes. I had a question about my new service and RaShawn looked into what package I had. Since my package was set up with Xcel (don’t recommend) it was screwed up. With the help of Shareef they were able to figure out the problem. Together they provided some of the best customer service I have received in any industry. Due to my current budget I am looking for the best quality and best prices. Xcel told me that it would be better to go with CenturyLink for internet. Centurylink was over a week late on providing me service and their agents are pushy. Plus I would have paid more for a slower speed. RaShawn and Shareef were able to show me competitive packages (TV/​Internet). My cable package increased (more channels) and my internet is faster with this new package deal. The best part is my bill is lower too! They also understood my financial situation and helped me out with some credit. These two guys were extremely helpful with trying to find a deal that fit me. Rebekah (their manager) came over to talk as well. She made sure that everything was right and offered to help me out financially as well. Overall ReShawn, Shareef, and Rebekah offered some of the best customer service I have ever had. Visit them in person because they are a lot easier to talk to in person. I highly recommend this location with these 3 outstanding individuals!
