Bone Adventure

Fabulous edition to the 50^th and France area for pet lovers, great little boutique with high-​end merchandise, large selection, and unique items. My only problem with them is that their food is over-​priced. Although high-​quality, this is the last place I would buy it from because you can get the identical stuff from several other places for less. I also think that the staff could be friendlier.

Cute store but the grooming services are awful, awful, awful. We had a so-​so experience the first time around and tried again just to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, this is worse than the first and now our poor pup looks like our 4yo got a hold of the scissors and went after his bangs. And, a chat with the manager produced zero results. At $ 70 a pop, I expect so much better. Our only consolation is that hair grows and this too shall pass. Buyer beware. Move on.

Cute stuff and they do have some unique toys and collars. Some stuff is very expensive and I know you can get it cheaper at a different store that is near by.
I do love the feeling of a small and personal store with good service.

Yes, it is pricey, but my doggie needs clothes and the selections at the big box chain stores are poor quality, ugly and overpriced. I brought my doggie in to try on jackets and he tried to trash the place. He even found his way to the back room. The staff didn’t blink, they thought he was adorable. I finally found something handsome that fit him and he wears it proudly. It was worth the $ 70 I paid for it. Who cares if I’m still wearing a jacket from the early 90’s? As long as my dog is warm and happy, I’m happy.

The only reason you get to keep 2 stars instead of one is your staff. The people working there are actually quite helpful and down to earth. What I’m getting at — they must have tuned out the insanity they are immersed in.
My GF wants to get her purse dog a new harness. Ok… she chewed the last one so that idea makes sense. What does not make sense is spending $ 45 for a «giraffe» print harness for a 5lb dog. What also makes zero sense is spending $ 6 dollars on a cupcake sized «birthday cake» for your dog. I hardly believe the animal that can eat its own s*** knows what day it is, let alone which one it was born on.
But I digress. Even if you are a boutique I can not knock you if thats your niche. But you do not have to gouge your customers on EVERY item. Throw people a bone (wink-​wink) and make some of the necessity items reasonable so they will spend more on your unique items. Until then, keep enjoying the people (like my girlfriend who got a well worded ‘no’ speech) that are insane enough to treat the fur covered naked animals better than we treat the homeless.

A great selection of products for your fur babies! They have many top of the line products: collars, leashes, grooming supplies, toys, treats, bedding and natural food selections. If you’re looking for a gift, it’s a great place to check out. It is a pet boutique, so, majority of the products are on the expensive side. I am one of those pet parents who spoil their dogs like crazy, so, this was the perfect store for me!

Yes, I am the co-​owner of a a totally mixed-​bred farm dog that has been rescued and relocated to the ‘burbs. She now lives in the lap of luxury… Duck and Sweet Potato food, twice weekly dog walking services, regular hair services, and a huge fluffy bed that nearly cuts off the path to my own bathroom! So, it is no surprise that we support our locally owned pet store that caters to puppies just like mine. I love the toys, dog food selection, and grooming services at Bone Adventure. I also love the knowledgeable staff and the owner’s doggie (who sits behinds the counter enjoying his day at «the office»). The only downside, is that I have a bag of Organic Cheese Nip doggies treats that my dog wont eat because she refuses to munch on anything other than cheap bank Milkbones. I guess you can take the dog out of the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the dog!

I get it. It’s in Edina, it’s locally owned, and it’s a boutique pet store… of course it’s going to be a bit on the pricey side… and that’s okay… as long as you walk into the store expecting that. That being said…
I was very happy with what I saw. Cute dog/​cat beds, great toy selection for both cats and dogs, really super cute collars (I bought my dog a really nice/​well made/​cute collar for $ 40), natural pet foods, and an array of treats and bones…
If I’m in the market for something unique or specific… I would definitely go back to Bone Adventure…

Thanks to this place, my little Stellaluna is rockin’ out a Twins leash now. Bone Adventure had a really nice selection of sports gear for dogs. A jersey-​like coverup runs somewhere between $ 15-​$ 25. The well-​made leash cost me $ 20.
Granted, I had a couple bloody mary’s before that and it was WAY sunny out for an April Sunday afternoon, so that helped with my shopping decision. I didn’t just buy the leash because it was a cute store.
Yet there’s no way you can convince me that it was a dumb way to spend a 20 spot when Stella now looks like she loves Mauer, Kubel, Morneau and my other Twins boys as much as I do…
[PS: Turns out I was in there the same day as Jessica O. — I feel bad for her. Not sure what was up, but the gentleman was nice to us, greeted us and asked if we wanted any help, and even offered small talk…]

Seeing as this place is in the 50^th & France area, I expected it to be pretty expensive. I was still a little shocked when I saw that their cheapest dog bed was $ 85 (for a tiny one), but I wanted to keep browsing. I was looking for a cute new collar, possibly a dog bed (not for that price, though!), and a food bowl/​water dish combo.
The staff was not helpful at all. In fact, they never greeted me — even after I made eye contact with & smiled at the clerk several times. As I made my way around the store, I saw two more sales associates, neither of whom said hello or asked if I needed help.
I did actually find a couple of adorable food & water bowls for a decent price, but I decided not to buy them after such rude service. I prefer to give my money to stores who appreciate my business.

Yeah, so this place is pretty expenive. «Gucci» as my mom would call it. But guess what? The staff is so super friendly and helpful that I kind of forgot that I’m paying $ 5 for a bone.
Besides, if you are going here for your pet’s supplies, you know what you are getting into. I go here because it’s the only place in the city that carries the food I feed my dogs, but I always end up spending about six billion dollars in extra stuff before I walk out the door.
(I think that, secretly, the reason I keep going here is because the girl with the short dark hair plays really awesome music everytime I’m in there.)
My dogs love it, too, even if Carl peed all over the floor the last time he was there.
