Specialties

Babble-On is an audio post production facility in South Minneapolis, MN. We’ve been around since 2000, but our resume stretches well back into the early 90’s. Radio, Television, Film, Podcasts, Web Videos, Biz Pitches are just a few areas of our expertise. We have extensive music and sound effects libraries, studio-to-studio connectivity (Digital Patch), on location abilities, and a mic closet that is suited to any and all possibilities (well, okay, … we don’t have a hydrophone. but y’know… we can get one). And, with our new location, we will be broadening our scope to be working with acoustic music ensembles in the Jazz, Classical and Blues vein.

History

Established in 2000.

Babble-On was established by André Bergeron in late 2000. It was built on his long reputation working in broadcasting and in other recording studios in the Twin Cities. Within a few years the company had grown to encompass four more employees, and had gained a national and international reputation for audio post production, sound-design, and mix-to-picture. in 2014, however, the building we were in was bought and slated for conversion — leaving us with little option but to temporarily close, regroup, and consider our options. The new Babble-On is in a beautiful facility on the eastern shores of Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. We have a spacious and comfortable Live Room/VO booth, a finely tuned mix space (designed by Dave Ahl) and… our famous snacks and culinary surprises have come along for the ride. As we move forward, we’ll be adding in acoustic Jazz, Classical and Blues recording to our repertoire.

Meet the Business Owner

André B.

Business Owner

André has an extensive background in audio and broadcast production that goes back decades. He was won countless (well, actually five) Mercury Awards, along with a few One Show Pencils and some other hardware that now makes for excellent doorstops. He is a budding jazz guitarist, inveterate foodie, photographer, book lover, dog enthusiast, and baseball nut who also speaks a little French. Which, in essence, means he has a useless Masters Degree in Cocktail Conversation, but, happily … no student loans.
