Established in 2002.

AVEX is an award winning audiovisual services company providing event production, creative services, equipment rental, web streaming, systems installation, technical support, product sales/​repair, and onsite liaisons. Established in the Twin Cities area in 2002, AVEX has grown to be one of the largest and most preeminent audiovisual firms in the area executing work locally and nationally.

Meet the Business Owner

David T.

Business Owner

AVEX’s founder and owner David Throldahl, earned his degree in Audio and Video Production and Engineering from the University of Colorado and has been involved in the audiovisual business for over 20 years. He began his career as an entry level Technician, and worked his way through all facets of the industry from operations to sales and marketing and ultimately executive management. As his career evolved, he gained experience in virtually every aspect of the industry.

His exposure to the inner workings of the industry provided him with the opportunity to work with local, regional, and national audiovisual companies. In doing so, David observed a similar approach to conducting business. He believed these companies consistently fell short of his own vision and definition of service. He also felt that the skilled people in the industry were under compensated. Launching AVEX provided the opportunity to change the norm. AVEX has grown steadily since it’s launch.
