Alpha Auto Body & Mechanic

Long story short: the car we are leasing got rear-​ended by a young man during a terrible winter day. We were going to default to the auto body shop our car dealer would likely recommend, but the other driver’s sister said she knew of a small neighborhood shop (where she could get a «student discount») and asked us to use it.
I’d never heard of Alpha Auto Body and it was in a part of town we don’t usually go to. It’s a small, unassuming garage on 29^th St. The URL on their business card doesn’t work, and the only website that seems to have heard of them is Foursquare, so finding reviews for them is impossible. Regardless – and this sounds weird – we took a gamble on them, knowing the repair would have to meet the satisfaction of our dealership.
But you know what? They did a great job. The bumper looks perfect, the paint job absolutely matches the rest of the car. The left brake light had come disconnected, but one mechanic trotted out with a power wrench and fixed it up on the spot, without a second thought. I have to honestly report one data point of a positive business transaction with these guys.
