Allina Health Isles Clinic

Was in town for a conference and knew I had strep throat… Found this clinic on Unilocal and they did not disappoint. Thorough appointment gathering information process, quick check in, great nurse and Doctor. Kudos to this clinic for their service!

I have been going there there for 16 years. All female doctors… awesome! My primary is Dr. Mary McMillan who has ALWAYS been a rockstar. Go there or be square.

I’d never been to a health clinic, I’d been to the same 2 doctors for 27 years but I had moved recently and just needed a checkup for a prescription, so, I thought I’d go to this nearby clinic that was easily accessible by bus, which was a plus for me. I was treated professionally and it was quick, efficient and I was reminded I needed a booster vaccine so I got that done too. All at a minimal cost. Great choice!

I have seen Dr. Mague and Dr. Copland and they are both excellent physicians. I was incredibly pleased with how thorough they were, their (respective) bedside manners, and the overall care they showed me. The woman who checked me in was extremely sweet as well and made me feel very comfortable. I waited about 2 minutes before getting seen. I also used MyChart (an Allina feature) to communicate with Dr. Mague about a recent visit and she got back to my right away. When I sent another message asking for a referral, a nurse let me know that she was out of the office for the day, but that she’d respond the following day. What service! A very well run practice. Doesn’t hurt that it’s 3 minutes from where I live :) THANK YOU!!!

This was, hands down, the best primary care experience I’ve had.
The clinic is organized and the doctor I saw, Dr. Walker, was great. She listened to me, and made me feel comfortable. Plus, she was funny!
I recommend. I never knew how big of a difference a great primary care clinical experience could make.

Great small little clinic with exceptionally friendly staff!
I love how this clinic in uptown is so close to our house we can literally walk there. Nice… But it was time for both my husband and I to have our annual exams. My husband always seems to put those off… but i nudged him to schedule an appt this year, since I think we maxed out on our deductible.
We both saw Dr. Danita Carlson — — and she was very personable and helpful. I really like how this clinic has some online presence too — — Allina has a site called where you can look up your test results, schedule appts onine, etc — so no more waiting for voicemails w/​goofy prompts to hear your medical info. AND… there’s an app too. :)
Don’t forget — — free WiFi here too for guests. So don’t forget your iPad :)

Dr Coplin is the best! Very Knowledgeable and caring.
I moved to Minneapolis a year ago in May and as a type 2 diabetic, needed to find a new PCP. Allina had been recommended to me and she was closest to where I live downtown. I am SO glad I picked Dr Heidi. She’s just a very laidback person who lets you talk as much as you need and listens to what you say. As someone who works in healthcare and has spent many years working in primary care offices, I can say that this is a very well run machine and the wait times are 15 – 20 minutes total on most days.
What I REALLY like about Dr Heidi is that she respects your opinion. As someone who knows pharmacology fairly well having worked in pharmacy and researches every medicine I take and all new medications on the horizon, she knows that and asks me what I think when we’re discussing medication changes, etc. I enjoy discussing recent clinical studies that have come out regarding diabetes and she’s definitely up to date on the most recent research. What has made me a better patient (losing weight, eating right, etc) is that she’s not a ball breaker. She’s really easy going and that works well for me. I’ve had PCPs in the past that were tyrants about being a PERFECT diabetic and she always looks at my labs and says «yup, they can always be better, but you’re doing really well and your numbers are well within acceptable ranges so just keep trying.»
So if you’re looking for a great doc and a really well-​run clinic that is fully live on their EHR and gives you web access to all your medical records and prescriptions (MyChart iPhone and Android apps!) and scheduling is made very easy!

Dr. Heidi Coplin is amazing. She is a friendly, gentle, attentive physician. My insurance, based out of Wisconsin, gave me very few options for getting care in Minneapolis. I basically picked her name out of a hat, and am so glad that I did. My yearly check-​up went smoothly. She listened to what I had to say and did not give me any hassles when I explained the prescriptions I needed. I felt like I was in good hands with her.
The rest of the staff were pretty awesome too. Nurses were fun and made sure I knew the details about the shots I needed. The office is pretty small, so it seems like everybody knows each other, and they know the patients.
Parking is really weird. The clinic is in front of an apartment building. Parking is shared with the apartments. The spots for the clinic are on the east side of the lot, but if those are full then you can park anywhere else.

We’re very impressed with the customer service and level of care.
