Made my keys in a hurry and they worked perfectly. They did everything perfectly at a great price.

This place was awesome. Period. Lost a key to my Sentry safe during a 600-mile move, and after several hours of trying to open it myself, I called Ace Lock & Safe Co. The very friendly worker had it open in two minutes, and best of all, did it FREE of charge. I would certainly come back here to have keys made or for any other services that require a locksmith. Very impressed.

It appears Ace Lock & Safe has been in the warehouse district for quite a while. The exterior, from the faded sign to the spotty windows are dusty and old. Dropped in during lunch two days ago to see if I could get a key duplicated. Inside is a small square room with some large safes on display. It’s very neat and clean in the front. Straight ahead is the counter. The staff appear to hang out in the back, but usually someone will come out to the counter to assist. An older gentleman with white hair helped me out that day. His two large dogs behind the counter barked excitedly. The key was copied in less than a minute and cost less than $ 3 dollars, so I was impressed. Unfortunately, when I returned home to try out the key, the duplicate was not able to open the lock. I tried three times and then asked a family member to try opening the lock with the duplicate key, but he too, couldn’t get the lock opened with the duplicate key. I returned the next day after work and this time, a brown haired young guy helped me. With an unnecessary dick-ish attitude, he rudely scoffed at me when I told him the duplicate doesn’t work. I would’ve given just one Unilocal star based on this particular douchebag interaction, but the new duplicate he gave me actually worked, so two stars it is. I don’t expect anyone to be a chirpy cheerleader when providing service, but derisive attitudes certainly repels me from coming back or giving recommendations. I’ll definitely try other Minneapolis locksmith businesses in the future instead of this place.

I called ahead and the guy gave me great info over the phone. I stopped in shortly afterward and had a couple of keys cut/copied in minutes for reasonable prices(about $ 3 apiece). Very friendly customer service and nice comfortable shop in a handy location! Excellent.

My old lock broke and I had to drill it out to get in, hence needed a replacement lock from the condo association. Although it’s no fun paying $ 110 to have a lock installed, it does require some tools and no-how. The guy that came out did a great job, was quick, and even tightened the door. The guy was very friendly and even showed me some tricks to make small fixes down the road. I hope I don’t have to call these guys again, but if I need a locksmith they’re definitely the ones I’ll call.
