A+ Plus Cleaners

Highly unprofessional… they were two hours late, and their additional prices were absurd. A few days after they cleaned my air ducts, my furnace stopped working. They would not come out to check out the problem, even though my thermostat read 50 degrees. I had to call someone else out who saw it was a dirty flame sensor. Being I’ve kept up on my furnace maintenance and never had issues with my furnace up until this point, I knew that A Plus Cleaners caused this, (the furnace inspector also commented that this was most likely the case.) When I talked to A Plus Cleaners about this, they took no ownership of it, and in fact harassed me about how it was my fault that my furnace stopped working.
Overall, I feel that this company is not reputable, and they were very discourteous and unprofessional. Being that there are so many other companies that specialize in air duct cleaning (unlike this one,) I highly recommend that you seek your business from a more respectful company that will not cause more problems in your home after they’ve performed their services.

I bought a Groupon months ago and it did take a while to get the appointment set up — apparently everyone and their brother bought the Groupon/​Living Social coupon too!
When I called to schedule the appointment, they called me back within 24 hours, so I was pretty happy with that. I scheduled the appointment for months out, as I wasn’t in a rush (after all, if your ducts haven’t been cleaned for years, what’s the hurry?). For the first appointment, it was frustrating because they were running really late — I had to call 20 minutes later to find out that they would be approximately 1 – 2 hours later. I ended up re-​scheduling it (they called me back to reschedule).
On the day of the appointment, they called me 5 minutes before 4 pm (my appointment was for 4). They were all the way across town, and it took another 45 minutes to get here. That said, it’s a service that doesn’t know the EXACT time when they’ll be done with a job, so I was ok with that.
When they arrived (Jeremy of American Duct Cleaners and one other worker), they were polite, nice, and explained everything that they were doing. They took pictures of the inside of the furnace and showed it to me, and explained what they were doing. It cost several hundred dollars (despite the Groupon, which did save me quite a bit), but it was worth it. They were really thorough, and the amount of disgusting crap that they got out of my filters was worth my health and air quality!
They were here for about 2 hours and I felt they were really thorough without acting like they were rushed. So, for those that have to wait, better to have a thorough job vs. one that is rushed, right?
Overall, despite the wait time and call-​backs and re-​schedules, I’m still giving them a 5-​star for a thorough job!

This was a gift purchased from Groupon. The contracted company (us air solutions) sub contacted A Plus Cleaners. My appointment was 11 – 1 I called (us air) @ 130pm and the they said the tech will call me. At 3 pm they did saying they had a Window of 1−4pm. We made an appointment for 12pm the next day. Didn’t hear from them until 250pm. Where the tech told me a bigger job came up and that I was pushed back due to lack of techs due to the bigger job.
Don’t use them.

I bought a Groupon for A Plus Cleaners to clean the ducts of a residential property I own. I talked with the owner, Jeremy, about what I needed done and we arranged a time and date for him to meet me at the property. On the date of service, two men that were not Jeremy appeared in a white van that said «(something) Plumbing.» They said they were with «XXX Cleaning» which was NOT A Plus. I asked for a business card. They didn’t have one. They said Jeremy had given the job over to them to do. I was somewhat satisfied with the Secretary of State papers they had in a glove compartment that showed they were legit, but still not A Plus Cleaners from whom I held a Groupon ($ 39 value).
I showed the men the furnace area and they immediately started into the haggling. Because I had a similar experience with duct cleaners before, I knew the promotional price would NOT truly include a thorough cleaning. They started throwing out numbers left and right to nickel and dime every small item in the duct work that was NOT included in the Groupon. I finally offered $ 200 for any and everything. They seemed pleased and stopped haggling. We agreed I would pay by check upon receipt of an invoice.
I went back to work and continued my day. I received three calls demanding payment immediately, and the worker stated he needed to drive to my location to pick up a check. I told him I would mail a check or give him my credit card, but I needed an invoice. I did not get one. I then received another three calls the next day. I called Jeremy of A Plus Cleaners to tell him I am not comfortable with his business practices. He said he was too busy to do the work on my property so he gave the work to another company (even though I bought the Groupon for his business). He also said he isn’t the in business of sending invoices. He gets paid on the spot.
I would caution anyone out there to think twice before using this company for any type of service.

I bought this from a Living Social deal. I called the manager/​owner to setup an appointment. Unfortunately I had to leave a message. I did not receive a returned phone call within 24 hours of my message, so I called back. He answered and apologize without me saying a word. I don’t know if it was good of him to apologize or bad that he knew exactly who he wasn’t calling back. He down all my information and at the end of the call said some will be calling me 30 minutes before my appointment that was suppose to be from 10 – 1. So, I was expecting a call at 9:00 and arrival at 10:00. The clock hit 10:25 and still nothing. I called and left a voicemail for the owner/​manager at 10:30. The cleaning crew called me (not the manager) at 11:00 and and said they can make it out at 12:00. The crew asked for all my personal information all over again. Name, address, etc (annoying)! The two man show arrived at 12:15 and surveyed the carpet.
Let me start off by telling you our carpet wasn’t bad at all. We bought the deal because it was a good deal and we thought it wouldn’t hurt to get some of the small stains by the door and by the couch. The two man crew told me the Living Social deal is just for a cleaning and not for any treatment. I said we don’t need a treatment, we just need a cleaning. He noticed we had a cat and completely ran with that. If you have a cat you need a treatment. If I said no, I didn’t want them to do a half ass job just because he wanted to prove a point. As he looked up at the ceiling he said, how’s an extra $ 100 sound? I said, it doesn’t sound good at all. He said, what does sound good? At this point, all I was thinking about was my last bartering trip to Mexico. I said, I’m thinking $ 60 tops! He came back with a offer of $ 75. What the hell is going on, I said to myself! We settled on $ 70 and the carpet looks exactly the same.
Honestly, if you’re a person that’s not interested in bartering and just wants someone to come and do «their job» don’t call A+ Cleaners.
