With 25 years experience defending criminal and deportation-​removal cases, Mr. Terezakis has established a reputation as a successful litigator who is always well prepared and whose clients participate in all key decisions related to their case. When there is a difficult case, or a case that requires expertise in both criminal and immigration law, former clients, community leaders and other attorneys refer their clients, friends and relatives to Mr. Terezakis and his experienced support staff. Mr. Terezakis frequently lectures for the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, the New York City Bar and the Nassau County Bar Association. Business Owner

George A. Terezakis’ practice is based in Mineola, New York, and is concentrated in the areas of criminal and deportation-​removal defense. He has successfully defended non-​citizens in removal proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Courts throughout the U.S., as well as before the Board of Immigration Appeals. He was the lead attorney in Dickson v. Ashcroft, 346 F.3d 44 (2d Cir. 2003). He is the former President of the Nassau County Criminal Courts Bar Association, and a former member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is fluent in Spanish, and frequently lectures on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and for other Bar associations. He has been recognized by the Central American Refugee Center (CARECEN) for his pro bono work on behalf of Long Island’s immigrant Community. In 2011 he was honored as the Community Advocate of the Year by the L.I.H.C.C.
